metal storm is old news, it was around years ago.

I wonder how the electronics get around a decent EMP weapon. Zap and the army is disarmed, not good.

That was my first though as well. One EMP blast will disarm the shooter. There is something to be said for the mechanical elegance of the gun. No electricity required :).
