Owner Tony Nunez believes city officials are unfairly targeting his coffee shop, Sugars, blaming it for parking hassles in the family oriented neighborhood and alleging that the mobster-themed cafe is a den of prostitution.

"The desire of the neighborhood has always been for a Starbucks," said Ted Cunningham of the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood Association. "I feel they snuck in."

Shrewd idea; you draw in men who otherwise might not want to seen in Hooters ("I thought it was an ordinary coffee shop. I only wanted a double expresso....", and you don't have to pay for alcohol licenses.

Cool Hand Luke scene comes to mind. George Kennedy "Lord please don't strike me blind in the next 5 minutes". Not exact but close quote.

"The desire of the neighborhood has always been for a Starbucks,"

Something any civilized society should strive for. Frankly, I'd rather have the Hooters crowd in my neighborhood than types the Starbucks attracts. Anyway, since when is it a problem to open a Starbucks?

The clientelle in Hooters is about as homogonous as can be. Women, kids, men, and anything in the middle. The staff is clothed more modestly than the average gathering of girls going to the mall.

Proof the saying "It's all in the name" means everything.
