Ah, wonderful. I feel so placated. After this meaningless gesture, who cares if Bush supports a ban on evil looking guns?

Too bad that wasn't an Ugly Black Gun, or something on the order of an M-1A/M-14 that "Moses" was holding up. Perhaps he may have on another occasion?

To answer my own question, sort of: Probably for the same reason they didn't mention Heston's 2nd amendment advocacy. Wouldn't want to excite the liberals too much. It won't work of course, as pointed out earlier, they'll be all in a froth anyway.
