If he is still alive, which I have my doubts.

$oddomite and his thug sons being caught by Kurds or some other ethinic group and getting quick and final street justice would be a great moment.

If this happens we need pictures of them hanging upside down and very dead from some structure or a video of them being lowered screaming into a wood chipper.

Then as you noted, every Islamofascist thug/leader in the world would have a very bad life after seeing that.

U.S. Kills 'High-Value' Iraqis in Siege

By Miral Fahmy

MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S. troops stormed a house in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Tuesday and said they killed four high-ranking allies of Saddam Hussein

Some 200 soldiers blasted the villa with machineguns and rockets during a four-hour battle before storming in to find four bodies, U.S. officers said.

They declined to identify them or comment on local rumors Saddam's sons might have been present.

The U.S. forces have been conducting an intensive hunt for the fugitive former dictator himself, spurred on by guerrilla attacks they blame on his die-hard supporters. Another American soldier was killed on Tuesday, the sixth in just five days.

He died as a trio of U.S. appointees prepared to address the Security Council in New York, the first Baghdad delegates to return to the United Nations since Saddam fell in April.

"Individuals of very high interest to the coalition forces were hiding out in the building," Lieutenant-Colonel William Bishop of the 101st Airborne Division told Reuters in Mosul.

"This morning we went to the building and surrounded it."

Major Trey Cate, spokesman for the division, said four "high-value targets" were found dead after the battle. A fifth Iraqi also died in the fighting.

Locals said there had been rumors that the troops were hunting Saddam's sons. The younger, Qusay, was one of his father's most trusted lieutenants. Uday was famed and feared throughout Iraq (news - web sites) for his cruelty and playboy lifestyle.

Witnesses said U.S. soldiers were fired at by people inside the house as they approached. The house -- a large villa -- sustained considerable damage. Its roof was staved in, apparently by a missile.

SOLDIER KILLED

U.S. forces have announced the capture of 34 of the 55 Iraqis on a most-wanted list of members of Saddam's regime, but Saddam and his sons have not been found.

U.S. officials say Saddam is probably still alive and hiding somewhere in Iraq. Audio tapes said to have been made by the deposed leader have been given to Arab television networks, exhorting Iraqis to fight occupying U.S. and British troops.

I don't think it took weeks for them to look like fools... as I recall, the military advanced rapidly, and about 3 weeks in someone floated a rumor that they were going to halt for a couple of weeks... that weekend, quagmire became the operative word... but within a couple of days we were knocking on Baghdad's door. So I would say the quagmire fools began that weekend, and were made to look foolish within days.

"Just shoot at them, Abdulah, and they'll go away."

Subdue the entire Sunni Triangle.

>>everyone who is talking about a quagmire is going to end up looking like a fool in about 3 months <<

Amidst my doom and gloom attitude about the rats' attacks on W, a thought occured to me yesterday: what is Iraq going to look like in one year? My guess is that there won't be daily sniping at our soldiers. Iraq will be up and running and most of the bad elements will be captured. That is why it's so urgent that the rats destroy W now.

I'd prefer them saying,

Saddam Hussein was captured by Iraqi Kurds in Tikrit, and before UN peace officials made it to him, he had somehow commited suicide in his cell by hanging himself. Kurdish officals are dumbfounded as to why his hands and were tied..."

Looks like Fox News got this one on the air first. They are showing video of the scene right now. Steve Centanni is live outside the home where the raid took place.

a thought occured to me yesterday: what is Iraq going to look like in one year?

In the next 40-60 day, a lot of the power/water problems will be fixed.
Also, a newly-trained volunteer Iraqi militia will start taking on some of
the patrol/police functions -- this according to Capt. Dale Dye, USMC Ret.
(He's the guy who does all the movie consultancy work, but he stays plugged
into the gossip network.)

Of course, a lot of the unemployment problem will remain, that's why we
need to get civilian air travel going soon...lots of Gulf War I guys and their
families need to make a trip and spend some $$$ touring the place.

"The two bodies were found with multiple gunshot wounds, deep lacerations, had their throats slit, were tarred and feathered and were found floating below a tall bridge.

Police on the scene were quoted as saying it was the worst case of double suicide they had ever seen."
