What Hollywood thinks you'd like to see (H'wood Imbeciles ALERT)
Cinematic Happenings Under Development ^ | July 24, 2003 | Devin Farachi

I'm seething with anger. SEETHING. Let me bring you back to the roots of this anger. It all began as one of those little net fads that appeal to those who function with only the base reptile parts of their brain, the Inbox Warriors. This fad was all about forwarding the address to this website (a website that I shall not reproduce here, by gods!) dedicated to a young woman who had amassed 20,000 dollars in credit card debt. The site was her begging people to help her out with a dollar or two.

This offends me on so many levels. Some greedy b***h who needs to get all the latest Prada gear has the temerity to beg for my spare change? I turn up my nose at the guy on the subway swimming in his own filth and with huge open sores on his legs and this girl thinks I'm going to help her out so that she can have the money to buy a seven dollar mixed drink that's mostly water next time she hits some tony Upper East Side bar that's full of insufferable yuppies and personal trainers and utter wastes of human flesh?

OK, so this girl, this Karyn Bosnak skank, gets to be an internet fad du jour, sort of like the Kids of Whidney High, and then she gets a book deal. Of course, any a$$hole who falls in a well gets a book deal these days, but the next step is that Karyn gets her story optioned for a movie - and Sony-based Escape Pictures asks her to write the screenplay. AAAARGH. So this is the new road to being a screenwriter? And get this - Bosnak says her two favorite movies are Forrest Gump and Clueless. OK, I'm off to have an aneurysm.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH

Yet another example of Hollywood's concept of what YOU would like to see on the silver screen. The young man who wrote this seems mad, does he not? If you, like him are a typical movie fan, you would be too.

There is a war on, has been for nearly two years now. However, exactly ZERO movies about the sacrifices and heroism of those involved with winning it have been even THOUGHT of. This (Leftist-friendly) crap, however, is "all the rage".

I have edited the story for profanity. Be advised, hitting the link to it will make visible a .gif animation which, while FAKE, could be considered disturbing. (or absolutely necessary if one is a conservative nowadays...)

Bump. This, and THIS are apparently what the H'wood Heroes think middle America wants to pay $8.00 to see. Amazing.

Their movies are like them. It's all about conning people so they can get their greedy mitts on our money.

I've got a great plot for a movie. I could tell a story about how Ben&Jerry's ruined my life. I lived on a diet of their products because they were "green". Now I find out that they didn't tell me about all of the calories and fat in their products. I never knew why I was so fat before the latest news reports. "Green" is bad!

:-)

I heard on a talk show the other day (I believe it was Michael Savage on my way home from work) that the reason for this is that the villains were Muslims, and the Gods of Political Correctness would never allow this portrayal :-(

Makes me sick :-(

Hollywood is forever glorifying the slackers in this country, and demeaning the achievers. If someone in a movie is an achiever, that person is depicted as a fussy prig, while the slacker is the cool one.

I've noticed that. Hell, the entire TV series "M*A*S*H*" was built around it. It is clear that they wish to denigrate excellence and its pursuit as much as possible.

Check it out:

That's getting released TOMORROW!

God forbid that Hollywood depict American soldiers liberating CHILDREN from an Iraqi prison. The Iraqi people are just fodder to the left.

No kidding. Or, what about the story of the first few SpecOps guys into Afghanistan? I bet THAT was a helluva story. Or the Battle of Tora Bora? Operation ANACONDA?,p> I'm sur you get the idea.

Scarcely a single battle or theater of WWII went without a film adaptation. Why should this latest World War be completely ignored in favor of such trivial frivolity?

I remember some of the t*rds surfacing in the bowl to claim that "we support the men and women," just not the war. Well, when the men and women returned, I don't recall seeing any celebs out there on the docks saying "welcome home, soldier!".

Very few "stars" saw fit to interrupt their busy schedule of coke-snorting, club-hopping and serial marriage/divorce to enlist in their country's military in wartime, as their forefathers did in 1941. Nor, even, did they put down the diet pills and silicone implants long enough to do a measly USO show to entertain those better men than they.

PING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Hollywood needs to get the message that we, Americans and patriots all, would dearly like to see OUR values reflected, just for a change.
