Lance won't make the same mistakes next year.

The French just can't stand to see America win, over and over and over and over and over again.

"The French just can't stand to see America win,"

This was the PERFECT year for Lance to win the Tour, considering how the Frogs have behaved in the last six months.

I hate the French as much as anybody, but they like Armstrong. I was just there last weekend, and lots of French people were rooting for him. Don't forget, Armstrong kisses their asses. He even gives his TV interviews in French.

If Greg Lemond hadn't come along, Lance Armstrong would have made history. No American has won more two Tour de
France championships in a row. Lemond did it in 1989 and 1990 and before that in 1986. This was a cycling event once the exclusive preserve of Europeans. No one thought Americans were good enough to win road bike races. Armstrong will be a legend in the cycling word. Let's hope he repeats the feat again next year!

Smart move. I wouldn't trust any media to interpret what I say, especially the Fr*nch media.

Not clear to me that giving an interview to a station from the host country is *ss-kissing. I do note, since I speak French and Spanish, the difference in coverage of the oficial TDF web site. Emphasis is on how Lance lost time in this stage and comparing him to the 4 other TDF winners with 5 wins. In my book there is only one comparison - vs. Indurain with 5 consecutive wins.

Five Tour De France championships in row. That ties him with Spain's Miguel Indurain. If he makes it number six next year he'll become the greatest cyclist in history! Go Lance!!!

How does he kiss their asses? He does French TV interviews in French and US interviews in English.

You may have missed it, but Armstrong doesn't kiss anyone's ass.
