I listened carefully to each question yesterday at the press conference. The media today, asks questions that are phrased as political statements, leaving the President to defend himself each time. Hell, they might as well send the Democrats from the Hill up to the Rose Garden to ask those questions and skip inviting the media.

Condi is having serious doubts about staying in public service after such a cruel grilling of her boss, whom she trusts and admires. It has to be difficult to witness such abuse by people who cannot come close to her intellect.

President Bush needs a "Jeopardy" buzzer. The next time one of these smarmy idiots starts giving a speech, President Bush needs to hit the buzzer and say, "I'm sorry, you needed to phrase that as a question." And then go on to the next reporter. It is for the President to give the speech. When the pinheads start giving the speeches, he needs to leave. But I couldn't agree more. Those long speechy, preachy, "set -up" speeches prior to a dopey leftist partisan question need to stop.

Rice is a principled person and those are rare commodities in politics. Remember Donna Shalala when she confronted Bill Clinton about his comments to the Cabinet and how she suggested he had the cabinet go out and lie for him? Well Donna showed her true colors after Bill admonished her. Rather than stand up for what is right, Donna capitulated.....shame on her.

Look for Rice to either redouble her efforts or bail. Either way, it is awful how she has been treated.

Submit questions in writing? Damn! First they have to read what everyone else is writing, and then copy them, and then try to "phrase it in the form of a question." I think that's asking too much!
