"This is causing me strange mental images. Care to elaborate a bit?" No. There's a scientific for it but, I can't remember what it is at present.

Holy Moly, there's lot of reading there. I'll read it after nap time and get back sometime this evening. (Probably). BTW, I think we are Neanderthals.

"I stumbled upon this paper, which you might find interesting, while doing some searches. " Excellent, excellent article. Will you be so kind and post this as a 'stand-alone' thread and include all the links. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Thanks

"I'd need to see some hard physical evidence before buying a connection that distant. " I agree. I don't think there is any 'hard-evidence.' I did run across these characters while searching, Fomorians, who don't fit the bill at all. I've just about decided that the Fomorians were African sea people.(?)

Click on the link 'The Neanderthal Theory' in post #44 for an excellent read and definately GGG material. I'm hoping to get this posted as a stand-alone therad, I don't know how to post with all those links...that's why I'm waiting for Question_Assumptions.

Feel free to post that article as a thread if you think it is interesting. I haven't had time to read it over throughly enough to know whether I endorse it's conclusions or not, but if you like it, feel free to post it and give me a ping so I can see the replies.

BTW, I think we are Neanderthals. I used to be a believer in parallel evolution but I'm more in favor of hybridization at this point. I think that modern Homo Sapiens Sapiens DNA is too similar (especially outside of Afria) to be explainable via parallel evolution but I do think that hybridization might explain some traits that we currently associate with regions and racial groups.

Ok, I think I found a few links. Call me a pervert, but I can find stuff!
The following are NOT SAFE FOR WORK (medical nudity/drawings) and are included for educational purposes.
Mods, do your thing if needed.
After some time searching, the bottom two links are the most
informative I've found, including pictures of the "apron" in question.
Apparently the San women have elongated labia, which can result in the labia minora protruding THROUGH the labia majora as a NORM.
In short, the women appear to be "hung". As one can imagine, this is not very comfortable.

If post #49 is deleted for content, try searching for "Hottentot apron".
Basically VERY elongated labia.

I'm a Milton Wolfpof 'multi-regionalists', that view comprehends it all, IMO.

I seem to remember that we talked about these lava flows a year or so back in relation to lava flows and Yellowstone.

The really huge problem is the rising dome at Mammoth Mountain in Kalifornia. It reminds me of Mt. St. Helens and is about as unstable. There are hundreds of morons that live in new condos they built in the big caldera there. They will be the first to reach heaven.
