"Ooops. Sorry. We missed. Sorry about all those people in Seoul."
Seriously, the Russians LOVE the DPRK. Good cop bad cop. They would NOT nuke the DPRK. This smells of disinfo.

Re #19
Only if N. Korea really pushes its luck and openly show working nukes. For now, Russia is still on N. Korean side.

You've been duped. This is SVR disinfo. Designed to make you think that the Russians are not supporting the DPRK!

Bush's policy of not giving in to NK's demands is looking better and better and better. The dominos are falling into place, and they're not falling the way Kim wanted them to.
To: Elliott Gigantalope
I challenge this. I beleive this to be SVR disinfo, designed to make foolish Westerners believe that Beijing and Moscow are not pulling the strings in their "bad cop" the DPRK!

They would NOT nuke the DPRK. The pre-emptive strike would be conventional to achieve the stated goal.

It is impossible. This story has all the earmarks of SVR disinfo.

Let me rephrase this, the anti Western Kremlin would do nothing to undermine their convenient anti Western cut out the DPRK. Clear?

You just might be right. I don't know enough about the situation to really know. That's why I prefaced my comment with "If this is true". If you have any sources or info to share please feel free to do so.

Re #21
I think Russia may not want nuclear N. Korea which it may not be able to control all the time. On the other hand, as long as N. Korea stays within a certain boundary, Russia is happy to help N. Korea tackle America.
To: TigerLikesRooster
I don't know how serious Russia is, but I'll bet we have a pre-emptive strike plan. North Korea is going to have to be dealt with very soon. Millions of people will die. The only question is, will Americans be among those dead? Not bloody likely!!

The 11,200 ton ship carries 64 S300 ship-to-air missiles and 16 P500 ship-to-ship missiles, which can be used to attack N. Korean missile bases.
Attacking land based targets with air defence and ship to ship missles? Interesting..... :)
