The VPC Has My Picture on Their Anti-Gun Website!

Somebody on Full-Auto.com just tipped me off that the anti-second amendment group the Violence Policy Center has a picture of me on their webstite. How do you like that? Now what are the odd of THAT happening? I don't know whether I should be insulted or proud.

The page on the VPC website that shows this picture is about how semi-autos are still assault weapons, and may be even MORE deadly than full auto weapons because of the greater accuracy of aimed fire. The title of the page is:

"Bullet Hoses: What Are Semiautomatic Assault Weapons? What's So Bad About Them?"

Here's the link.

The pictures were taken by a Navy journalist's mate named Peter D. Sundberg at Fort A.P. Hill in 1982. The bottom picture originally appeared in the April 1985 Navy "All Hands" magazine. The caption about the MAC is wrong, it's a 9mm, not a .45. (And I'm not catching the brass in my mouth in the VPC picture.)

There was an article a few months ago in one of the photographic magazines about legal rights and photo's. One thing I recall is that all pictures are copywrited by law although it helps to be able to prove who made the photo originally.

I do think you are not allowed to use personal photos for commercial use however if it is in the public domain which this one might be then they can use it.

Of course I am not lawyer.
