You know, the liberals really are going crazy. I have no other explanation for these rants about a movie about Jesus, or their boiling hot hatred of the President, or their mocking of marriage, or...
I could list a hundred things over the last year or so. They have just gone flat-out nuts.

I'm reading the Hirsen book and funny thing!! I haven't zeroed in on any anti-semitism. The liberals are desperate to paint conservatives as intolerant as they are.

Frank Rich's quarrel is not with Gibson. His quarrel is really with the Book of John. Maybe he should file a lawsuit to have the Gospels removed from the Bible. Better yet, Jesus should be handed over to the Romans for crucifixion by a group of white male, right-wing conservative Christians....

"Indeed, it's hard to imagine the movie being anything other than a flop in America, given that it has no major Hollywood stars and that its dialogue is in Aramaic and Latin (possibly without benefit of subtitles). Mr. Rich might wind up being very, very surprised.
There may not be many church-going folks where he lives and works, but out in Flyover Country many churches may end up making mass field trips to see the movie - repeatedly.
This isn't just any subtitled movie.
Its real tinderbox effect could be abroad, where anti-Semitism has metastasized since Sept. 11, and where Gibson is arguably more of an icon (as his production company is named) than he is at home."
I don't see why.
Muslims aren't likely to see this movie.
And that's where overseas anti-semitism has "metastasized."

I think calling these idiots simply liberals is being way to nice. How about Axis of Evil Liberals? A bunch of em are anti-Christ for sure, at least in MHO.

Frank, just shut up! No one cares what you think, say or do.

His tirade against Hirsen is further buttressed, Rich says by more evidence of Hirsen's anti-Semitism, "because he makes a fetish of repeating Bob Dylan's original name, Robert Zimmerman
Oh my god, call the ADL. Dylan is Jewish, who'd a thunk it?

There are three certain things about life....death, taxes....and when a Dem attacks someone about what they do or say....they are speaking of what they themselves DO AND SAY. (Who are the most racist, intolerant? Dems)

Funny thing about Jesus. People either love and worship Him or they absolutely cannot stand the sight of Him or the sound of His name! It's not a coincidence...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the left, just a few years ago, who were celebrating a movie bio of Larry Flynt (a man who has dedicated his life to degrading women)? Weren't they championing him as the very essence of freedom of speech? Weren't they saying, regardless of whether we like him, he is a hero?
I also seem to recall a little black comedy called "Last Supper," in which some liberals get together to kill off a group of conservatives, one by one.
I guess outrage is a selective thing.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Rich is mainly disturbed that the Anti-Defamation League's Abe Foxman was denied an invitation to any of the screenings, not surprisingly a result of his harsh criticism of a film he has not seen.
And that is true for Rich and other critics who attack a film they haven't seen but imagine what it contains.
Like other critics, Rich latches onto a report issued by a panel of nine Jewish and Roman Catholic "scholars" who read a stolen script and attacked the film."
###
Well, there are people who are "disturbed" that Jesus lives. There are people that are "disturbed" by the contents of the Bible. There are people who are "disturbed' by the 10 Commandments. There are people who are "disturbed" that followers of Christ, Christians exist in this world... and so it goes.

"NY Times' Frank Rich Blasts Mel Gibson, Drudge, NewsMax's Jim Hirsen" I'm hurt. The bitch didn't include FreeRepublic.
To: Cindy
Mind you, the left will defend the removal from a library any book celebrating perversity or blasphemy against Christianity.
To: Enterprise
Maybe he knows better not to. ;-)
To: Paul Atreides
HA HA!! I hadn't thought of that!
To: Enterprise
This whining by Rich is nothing. We still have Mark Morford's opinion to look forward to.
To: Paul Atreides
Last Supper had a happy ending though.
