I've looked at all your links, Mr. Foxtrot Charlie, and I can't say whether they are real or not, although they certainly appear to be authentic. Could you please be a little more specific as to why you think the Gunny's letter is a fake? Before you wear yourself out, contemplate [and gracefully accept] the fact that the average Marine Staff NCO is better read, far more intelligent, more articulate, better trained, far more deadly [aimed, semi automatic rifle fire]and far more successful with the ladies than ALL of the doggie company grade and 90% of the doggie field grade officers. My point being, the fact that the piece is very well written does not support your aspersions. I knew a Gunny who had two footlockers, one with his gear and one filled with his books, Shakespeare, Chaucer, Milton, Dante, Thucydides. I speak with total objectivity and Semper Fi to you, pal.

"left coast," "flyover country" Rush Limbaugh has conquered America.
Great rant, btw.

I tend to agree. The essay is a collage of vulgar gripes against the liberal powerstructure, and it became too conspicuous when it was discussing the UN. Look at how it flutters upon one buzz-word or fashionable cliche after another, all the way through it.
Even so, many of the ideas were well-delivered by the author.

Whew, you've go that right...my hubby is a MSgt and is such a fantastic writer that you can truly "SEE" what he is describing!
I'm not sure this is from a Marine though. They sure seem to respect the rules about political "stuff" while on the job. (at least in my experience...)

Speculation is one thing. Facts are another.
I am begining to be bored by the likes of persons who are cynical by nature. If you have a problem with a post, then provide logical reasoning, and evidinnce for your objections.
This sheite was good reading. If you don't like it, then do some effing homework, and stop whining.
FReep me when you have a case.

This guy is up on current events in politics and TeeVee, but I don't believe this was written by a Marine in Iraq. Good rant anyhow.

How about the fact that any negative comment from a soldier in Iraq can be a court marshal offense? So to accept any positive letter or email from a trooper in Iraq is just asinine in MHO. So lets stop the posting of any "email" or letter from the troops in Iraq one way or the other and let our political leaders tell us how things are going.

I can't believe the following will come from my keyboard to you. :) Course you probably felt the same. Nonetheless, we agree. Your observances are on target and match mine.

There is no doubt many a Marine can express him/herself. And like you know the rule to be, we just don't do it while on duty. And if we do, we do, it would be done privately and not intended for some public forum.
Regardless, this Marine respects the right of dissent whether I agree with it or not. That's the shit we would fight and die for.

"This sheite was good reading."
It was some good "sheite" alright. It made me feel good too.
Just unbecoming of a Marine and therefore in doubt. If it turns out to be real, then this Marine if found out will get an early exit.

Thank God hundreds of thousands of such men and women are coming home to vote and exercise their well trained and practiced 2nd Amendment rights.

To: Burkeman1
Do you know any American Soldiers who are currently stationed in Iraq?
Do you have any idea what those Troops are having to put up with? Do you really care?
