Obviously, there is no conspiracy to keep this "information" under wraps, so it must simply be a gentleman's agreement, an affair of state as it were.

I've been saying it for years.
A fairly nicely done piece of history.
The only fault I find is the idea that Churchill just created Transjordan on some sort of whim.
There were intense machinations on the part of certain arabs to accomplish the establishment of Jordan, including lies and deception.
A veritable "fait accomple" was delivered to Churchill, he had little choice.
The decision had been made by others, he just signed the papers.

Isn't it obvious by now the Palestinians don't
want a state. They are getting far too much admiration/attention/pity/welfare from other Arabs, the UN and anti-Semites by being "poor refugees" fighting the "unlawful occupation."
No, the Palistinians don't want a state, and they don't want peace with Israel. They would rather continue blowing themselves up. Which is fine with me, if they do it in the privacy of their own homes.

``One afternoon in Cairo,`` as Churchill later boasted, he simply took all the land east of the Jordan River and inserted the Hashemite Abdullah - the great-grandfather of the present King Abdullah - as its emir. The reason he did it is that Britain had already given away the Hashemite's patrimony, Mecca and Medina and the entire Arabian peninsula, to the robber gang of Saud.

This history is mysteriously disappearing from all other websites around the world where it has been posted for years. Read and copy it while you can. Though I doubt the owner of this site will take it down.

Actually, Palestinians have lots of states, they are nothing but common Arabs, they could go to Egypt, Saudi Arabia or any other Arab state. Palestinian is not a separate race.

I like Dubya a lot, but... and I've said it before but I'm going to say it again... two things he has no business doing: giving billions in our tax money to fight AIDS in Africa, and supporting the murderous "Palestinians" in their quest for a better position from which to finish what Hitler started.

i've always wondered why the obvious has been ignored. arafat isn't even "palestinian" he's egyptian.
the british made plenty of mischief in the mid-east, they and other european countries overcompensate because of their misplaced guilt in being colonial powers.

Is there a book or an article about the formation of Transjordan?

And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
I'll say!

Thanks so much for the info, Dennis.

Is there a book or an article about the formation of Transjordan? I recommend the following;
"A Peace to End All Peace" (The Fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Creation of the Modern Middle East )
David Fromkin
Avon Books (available in paperback)

I received this article as well in an email from the following organization.
www.israelunitycoalition.com

Thanks! I stopped by here about a week ago. Interesting on how a lot of these coalitions and organizations are starting to network since the end of the war in Iraq and the US started manhandling Israel.

Nice catch JohnHuang2. This should be required reading on a National level. Or perhaps it's time for a FOX Special. Thanks.
