I'll say it again: THIS IS ONE BISHOP WHO I DON'T WANT LAYING HANDS ON ME! (At least not without washing them first!)

Yes, but don't forget that many of the Presbyterian USA congregations are also conservative and do NOT support the gay agenda being shoved down our throats either!

What was the name of that book back in the 70's? 'Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth' wasn't it?

Jude 1 says it all.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Episcopalians.......aren't they the same as the Unitarians, a psuedo-religeous liberal cult?

When something claiming to be Christianity gives spiritual immorality a pass and makes a priest of someone in open sin, it isn't Christian. You can call it anything you like; but, if you try to call it Christian, the word of God will testify against you as the liar you are. Pure and simple.

And so are the continuing churches (aka Anglican, in America).

2 Tim 4:3-5 NIV

Remember believing Episcopalians and all those who call on the name of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ, you ARE the Church.

#38...and your point is?

I say mongate813 feels passionately about what just happened & needed a venue & big letters to express himself & his displeasure.

And ya know, he just might have convinced more folks than you know!

Um. There are already several continuing churches, all (I believe) known as "Anglican"; we don't need more, we should have fewer.

Sixty-two of the 107 votes in the church's House of Bishops were in favor of New Hampshire Canon Gene Robinson, a decision that could threaten a schism in the global Anglican community

Could?

Forty-five bishops voted no....there is already a schism!

"Hier stehe Ich, Ich kann nicht anders."

There was no lack of guts at Worms that day; I hope that there is an Episcopalian bishop that will prove equal to the task at hand.

Now I've got to go find where to sign up for whatever Episcopal church splits off.

Forty-five bishops voted no

You sure of that? That's a larger number than predicted.
