Anyone that thinks that fly over country won't vote for a crazy idea just has to look at this list; Utah, Kansas, S. Dakota, Wyoming etc. This should give conservative republicans a scare.

I think that in some of these communities, people join the Episcopal Church specifically to assert their "difference" from other, more conservative protestants - - so the Episcopal Church is more liberal than the community as a whole. Just my theory ...

The "bishop" from Utah is a woman who left the Mormon church over issues like abortion. She is undoubtedly completely leftist in her leanings, and very unrepresentative of the majority of people in this state.
