Not that this is proof of her existence, but FOX just did a report on this about 1/2 hour ago.

Lighten up just a little, my friend. If Fox and WT have published this there is no use. Still, it always amazes me how quickly our media rushes to publish no matter what.

So why is this public?

A little parnoia induction perhaps. Makes them afraid to talk to each other. If they can't talk, they can't organize. A bunch of "Jihad of One" types is not much of a threat compared to an organized cell or larger group.

Army Captain, four Pak militants killed in Rajouri

Jammu, Aug 1 (PTI) An Army Captain and four Pakistani militants were killed in a fierce encounter at a high security residential complex housing senior civil and police officials in border town of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

Captain Rohit Reddy, who was leading one of the columns of troops against the militants, sustained serious injuries during the encounter at D C Colony last night and later succumbed to injuries, they said.

The encounter started around 1945 hours yesterday when security forces on getting information about presence of militants in the colony cordoned off the area.

The ultras launched grenades and fired mortar shells but security forces assisted by police responded cautiously to avoid civilian casualties as the area is thickly populated, the sources said.

The colony, in which the residences of Rajouri Deputy Commissioner K I Khan, DIG (Police) S S Bijral, SSP B R Manhas and National Conference MLC Bashir Ahmed Lone are located, witnessed fierce exchange of fire till 2300 hours.

The militants, who had been shifting from one house to another, resumed firing around 0530 hours today. In retaliatory action, four militants were killed, the sources said.

Two bodies of ultras were found on the rooftop of an under-construction house while two others were recovered later during search operation after nearly two hours of exchange of fire, they said.

The slain militants have been identified as Abu Abdul Rehman, Abu Hamza, Abdul Salam and Salam Mohammad-All belonging to Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Toiba outfit, the sources said adding four AK-rifles, ten magazines and 444 rounds, six hand grenades and one diary were recovered from them.

Deputy Commissioner Khan said that the target of the militants seemed to be VIPs.

Search operations in the area and its adjoining localities were continuing, the sources said.

Markets in Rajouri town closed after news of the encounter last evening and remained shut till mid-day today, residents said.

So why is this public?

It's much more important to make this information public than to keep it secret. People must become aware of the very real threat that Islamists are to everyone on this planet -- and get motivated to do something about it.

The story appears to be all over the world. You can now read it in both Russian and Chinese (besides, people love a good spy story).

(By the way, I had no idea that I even had a wife until this story broke :-)

ASSIST NEWS.net: "DON'T MESS WITH THIS AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE! by Jeremy Reynalds (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Mrs. Galt reports to freelance undercover investigator Glen Jenvey, whose story of putting Al Qaeda recruitment videos on the web I first told to the world (www.assistnews.net/Stories/s02110035.htm) in November 2002 (when Jenvey was using the assumed name of Albert). His story was also reported recently by the London"Sunday Times." Mrs. Galt's latest assignment has been penetrating Al Qaeda related groups in Pakistan. That work may well have resulted in the imprisonment and maybe even death of a number of terrorists. Because other alleged terrorists with whom Mrs. Galt has dealt are still at large, her name and location are not being disclosed and she will not talk directly to the media. However, Jenvey was willing to do so and in a recent e-mail interview with this reporter told how he and Mrs. Galt began infiltrating alleged terrorist groups in Pakistan. Jenvey said after successfully working with India's military intelligence in another project and learning about a group whose members bombed an Indian temple, he met with senior intelligence officials from India. That meeting, Jenvey said, "led Indian (intelligence) to a big load of Al Qaeda supporting Pakistani based Kashmir terrorists that were even at one point talking about 9-11 mastermind Osama bin Laden." Jenvey said after forwarding the information Mrs. Galt continued to gather in on-line discussions with alleged Pakistani terrorists to the FBI via the American Embassy in London and Britain's MI5, he saw some remarkable things happen." Just substitute "liberal" for the word "terrorist" in the story and Mrs. Galt could produce some equally good results.
