After the interview the sound man gave me details of a protest that he is having in his local neighborhood of an X-rated movie rental business. I told him I would stop by and hold a sign for a while with them. This place has opened right next to a church in a residential area.
I would like to thank everyone for excellent feedback last night. You guys are great.

You did fine. Goff was decidedly subdued. It seemed he was intimidated just by being on opposite you.

He appeared exactly as he was, a Peace Activist, you appeared exactly as you are, a concern mother. Good job.

I felt like I didn't get in near enough argument with this guy about his political actives prior to his latest venture. I'm confident that you would never feel that you had fully developed your argument; secondarily because you'd feel that way even if you had the whole time of the segment to talk in, and primarily because the guy "debating" you probably went in with the idea of keeping you from fully developing your argument as his primary objective. What else could he really do, when his own case was so weak?
The crew said that it looked because Mr. Goff appeared macho but came across as wimpier than the woman opposing him. You have to understand the freak-show mentality of the producers; they really want to show something outlandish. And they would rather show almost anything else than a conservative making a strong case unrebutted. The conservative will talk common sense, and the newsman considers anything common to be--sin of all broadcasting sins--boring!

Is there a transcript up yet? I don't have cable (wouldn't tune into CNN anyway...) so I didn't get to see the debate. I'm sure you did great though.

Please, please tell me that you demanded an interview with the same people for October after all will have been revealed about Iraq.
Is there any way we can get a transcript posted here?

Just out of curiosity, why are the protestors not focusing their attention on the ZONING MORONS who allowed that type of business in that area in the first place?
To: armymarinemom
It makes me wonder what type of political agenda that they have behind what they're saying. If we were to bring our kids home, we'd have lost a lot of kids for nothing. And why do they want the Baath Party back into power? Good job pointing out the consequences of this guy's remarks.

Just read the transcript! WOW AMA!!! YOU DONE GOOD!! Thanks so much for your very articulate and concise defense of what our troops are doing.
I can imagine that you feel like there are volumes you would like to have been able to say, but truly, you did an excellent job of summing it all up. Well done, and a heartfelt 'thank you.'

Just read the transcript and previous threads. You did not need all the help you asked for. You did just fine and reflects credit on yourself and your sons.
As a Mainer(me from away),I am proud of you and hope you will find an easy way to ping or link me on the Bangor stopovers. I WILL get there.
