armymarinemom (Freeper) was just on CNN

Her orginal request.
I need help fast. I have agreed to debate a spokesman for the group Bring them Home Now for CNN tomorrow. You can see from the links on their website who these people are associated with. I need input from everyone because to be honest I'm scared to death!
Their spokesman is prior special forces who has a son in Iraq. This smacks a lot like Veterans for Peace.

She held her own and she needs to congratulated. She did great under pressure.

Freepers are great. I saw her original request and the numerous answers she received from incredibly informed posters. I'm so glad she did well and can't wait to hear the blow by blow report.

I'm so glad for your report. I wanted to watch but without knowing more specifically when she was scheduled to be on, just couldn't stomach viewing that much CNN.
Congrats AMmom!! Hope you post later and let us know how things were from your perspective.

This smacks a lot like Veterans for Peace. All veterans and soldiers are for peace. But we do know that the concept of leave them alone and the bad guys might behave themselves doesn't work in the real world.

I caught the tailend flipping channels. };O)
From what I seen, her responses were well thought out and level. It looks like we help with our responses. The Army nutjob thought we were in a Vietnam quagmire and we should bring home the troops now and let Iraq fix itself. He had a black t-shirt that look like the kind most radicals were (circle logo, white letters etc...).

All veterans and soldiers are for peaceAbsolutely. Some people realize that ignoring a problem (Nazi Germany, Iraq, North Korea) doesn't make it go away, it only gives it time to fester. The soldiers are the ones who have to go take care of the problem. Believe me, you would be hard pressed to find anyone in the military, ESPECIALLY the guys on the ground with the rifles, who want peace MORE than we do.

Please, please tell me that you demanded an interview with the same people for October after all will have been revealed about Iraq.
Is there any way we can get a transcript posted here?

Well, ya did good. I'm glad for ya. I noticed the little, "I'm sorry for the interruption." the host gave the bush-hater.
Bravo!

"They all want to finish what they've started"
. . . and we want them to have the laurels they have earned, and are earning.
You will not have the determination and sacrifice of your valiant men set at nothing by cowards--nor should you.
Just remember, difficult as it sometimes is, that the journalists are not there to tell the truth. They are there to attract an audience for people who want to sell--soda pop, automobiles . . . whatever. If they did nothing but tell the most important truth, they would be afraid nobody would pay attention--and they have to have peoples' attention or else they don't get paid!
