This story defies all sense of reason or logic.
It simply defies description.
(And not because, as reported, that a devout Orthodox Jew was allowed entry into the Wahabbi Whore-Mongering Kingdom of Saudi Arabia whose offical policy prohibits Jews.)
It sounds something you might see on the Israeli version of Twilight Zone ,the story of a how a devout, totally innocent Jew inexplicably finds himself in the center of one of the most shameful scenarios imaginable, in God's desire to teach Yehuda a lesson in humility he'll never forget. This story is most perplexing.
God Damn It! Don't we Jews have enough enemies? We've got to have this miserable traitorous scumbag as a key player in this unspeakably heinous act, (a highly respected member of he Orthodox Jewish community yet!) involved with the lowest forms of life, and for what? a $1500 commision????
Well, please allow me to give that other famous Jew spy, Johnathan Pollard credit here. A least he spied on our country based on his convoluted, misguided set of principles and conscience, in addition to the several million dollars he received from the Israeli government.
And what's the damn story with the charges?? The DA has been able to come up with ONLY this one pathetically measly charge that carries with a maximum five year penalty????
And what the hell is it with the damn Judge and his cockamamie comment in giving this scum bail?
Most perplexing.
And despite all the highly charged talk of hatred and discrimination against Muslims post-911 and how they're being singled out simply based on their religion (like Mike Hawash), I would definitely NOT put it past his attorney from using "Anti-Semitism" as the basis for the government charge against this putrid traitorous rat. LOL!

How so? By going on and on about the Jewish involvement while describing the Muslim perp only as some guy who happens to be from India?

It was such a good day for Homeland Security and the Bush administration, the media just had to read the DNC talking points and somehow spin these arrests into a "bad" thing.
ABC News (thread on FR) has portrayed the story up as a sting operation and a set up of a basically innocent man.

Savage mentioned on his radio show last night that ABC would have much prefered to have us wait til the REAL missles (all 50) got here - then there would have been a story. *sigh* He really trashed ABC for their treatment of this story.
Nice that we're in front of some plots.

Savage is correct about ABC News. If any of those missiles had killed Americans, ABC could have pointed to the deficiencies in Homeland Security and how the Bush administration hasn't protected Americans at all. With the left up is down and right is wrong.

He laundered the money and knew nothing about the plot to fire a missile at at civilian airplane.Sorry. No pass here. If he did as he is alleged to have done, he broke a bunch of laws on an international scale. That he did not ask what the money was for doesn't excuse him morally. Plausible deniability is an ignorant legal custom.

He had to know he was transacting with a Muslim. That's enough for me. Fry his sorry traitorous back end.

Not morally either. Just my opinion. He could have known absolutely nothing except to launder some money. Story goes he had a halawa money exchange operation

I couldn't believe what I was hearing on ABC News last night; even by their standards, it was taking an extremely serious matter and making it into a fairy tale to serve their own political purpose. So what that the missile as imported couldn't work? The perp thought it could, expected it would and sold it for that purpose. By Brian Ross' standard, you couldn't convict any pedophile who thinks he's arranged a meeting over the internet with a 13 year old girl at a mall and instead runs into a 35 year old female detective.

ABC News is the most biased news on television (IMO) and I rarely watch it. But there is a thread on FR about the report and it ruined my morning to read it.

Whatever turns you on. I don't see him as equally culpable. The situation here (I don't know if you're in this category) is that every time a Muslim does something that supports terrorism, many of those who are pro-Israel want to put them all in jail, call off all negotiations until the Palestinian government is able to stop all violence, and destroy all things Muslim.
When a Jewish person is found somehow complicit in terrorism, it's a double standard. You defend him, don't look for any connections to Israel, and refuse to recognize that maybe, just maybe, there are some Jewish people who have contributed to the level of violence.
There was so much talk after 911 about Jewish involvement. This is bound to bring that discussion up again. I hope those who support Israel also support an honest investigation if this leads anywhere like that.

You're letting your relationship with this man taint your thinking, in my opinion.
