Michigan Rally Targets Howard Dean This Saturday!
Democrat presidential hopeful Howard Dean will appear at a fundraiser in Ypsilanti this Saturday, August 16, from 11:30-12 noon.
Unfortunately, Mr. Dean wants to raise taxes by repealing President Bush's tax cut.
Michigan Citizens for a Sound Economy is organizing a protest to "welcome" Mr. Dean, who is a leading candidate for the Democrat Presidential nomination.
Our Michigan team is going to show up shortly after 11:00 AM, as we want to be in place by 11:15.
Location: 1305 Grant, Ypsilanti, (a few doors down from West Middle School.)
CSE will provide t-shirts and posters with slogans demanding that Dean cut taxes, not increase them.
Please visit www.cse.org for some additional background material.
PLEASE spread the word and let's generate a big crowd to "welcome" Howard Dean to Michigan!
How about a sign:
But 10 years is not normal.

1. Why would Granholm endorse Dean or ANYBODY at this point?
2. Why would there be an endorsement given in East Lansing? Why not the capitol steps or a big city like Detroit?
3. What's at 2000 West Shaw? It doesn't registed on Mapquest. Closest location given is MSU's business college.
4. I'm on CSE's mailing list AND phone list and if there was a change, I would likely be called.
5. You just registered today.
I suspect a troll.

3. hmmm...
Is there any way to screw with their heads and tell them the location of the rally has been changed? Certainly some of them would fall for it and it would be a fun thing to do...

Nice try, I'll give you that much.
250 people gave at least $100 to the Dean campaign to attend.
250? That's it? In the democrat stronghold of Washtenaw County? Considering Washtenaw has double the population of where I'm at and is as democrat as we are republican,(Although CSE is non partisan and also has libertarians, I'm Republican) you should have been able to beat our fundraisers.
$100? Can the avg person give $100 to political campaigns. Those attendees sure looked like working class folks to me....I thought democrats were supposedly for the workin' man!!! The crowd sure looked like academia to me.
Dean wouldn't be raising taxes... just taking them back to NORMAL levels where they should be so this country doesn't continue on it's credit card budget.
Bringing them back to so called "normal" levels is a TAX RAISE!
And no they shouldn't be raised. We should be GUTTING almost everything. We can start with the BATF, NPR, PBS, and the like. Give me the ax, and I'll cut just about everything out of the federal budget.
And yes, we had a low turnout. I could make excuses about power outages that stopped emails from getting to our Washtenaw people, but we still got our name out there to the media which was the entire point.
Organization is the key!! Howard Dean knows that!!
That's the ONLY thing I agree with you on.
Freep Dean, but good....
thats 2 freeps ive missed lol
