Ohio Republicans may take a cue from state legislators in Texas and Colorado and tinker with the lines that shape their congressional districts.

Now some Republicans are looking at carving up northeast Ohio, which would reshape the seats of Brown, Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D), and possibly other House members. "I've seen some plans floating around to do some line adjustments," state GOP Chairman Bob Bennett said.

Interesting in and of itself, but there will be a public backlash somepoint, spurred on by media savant's constantly harping this until the public recognizes it needs to have a backlash getting on.

This is dumb unless the courts redistricted. Otherwise, we'll have OK, IL, TN, etc. do the same to us.

Don't the legislatures get one crack at this every ten years and that's it? Colorado and Texas were first taken care of by courts, not the legislatures. (And hey, how about redoing Georgia while we're at it?)

They are required to redistrict after the census, but if they want they can redistrict every two years; heck, I guess they could pass a new map every week if they really wanted to.

LOL. I feel your pain! My (predominately Republican) town got re-districted into Dennis's district two years ago.

Last year Dennis marched in our home days parade. This year a car with the sign "Kucinich For President" was in the parade, no sign of Dennis. The car was right after the local McD van with Ronald McDonald on top waving to the kids. Fitting, huh?

They have already done this at least once in the last two years. Thanks to redrawing the 3rd Congressional district, I have a responsive Republican Congressman for the first time in 24 years. More power to them.
