Once they had him in the car, Jaynes reportedly tried to force sex on Jeffrey.

When the child resisted his 300 pound black assailant, Jaynes sat on and suffocated him with a gasoline-soaked rag.

Sicari and Jaynes then drove to New Hampshire where Jaynes abused the boy's body before putting it in a barrel with concrete and dumping it into a river in Southern Maine. --source

MEdia bias is pervasive. Just remember the confused and disapointed look in the faces of the talking heads when the DC Sniper turned out out to be two african-american men, who looked just a bit too chummy, and the dominant one was a muslim who bitterly hated the USA. By the same token, Brit Hume looked like he needed oxygen early in the night when it looked like Dubya was a goner, especially when he lost many of those swing states in the east and midwest, and Florida was called for Gore.

I posted a similar story here a couple of years ago. The crime occured in Bakersfield, California. A teenage boy was anally raped and tourtured before he was murdered. A horrific crime which recieved little press attention, even from the local paper The Bakersfield Californian.

It's not a case of the media ignoring this case so much as it a case of hyping the Shepard murder. The media just doesn't cover every single horrible crime.
