This guy is really sweet...as long as he takes his medication!

We hesitated just a little too long to interfere when my sister was living with a fruitcake. Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of her death. He is in prison for life, but that won't bring her back.

Well, you know, really and ultimately it's her decision (I assume she's an adult and of sound mind.) If you've made a serious effort to extricate her from her mess and she won't listen, then you've done what you can.

I guess you could ask her who she wants to take her funeral service - that might get her attention. (Not really kidding here - that's beyond tough love and into "scared straight" but it might work.)

Actually, there's plenty of data showing that the single greatest danger to a child's life is a biologically unrelated male living in the home (and no, being married doesn't make this stat go away). Lots of men still have the animal instinct to kill ofspring which are not their own. This story is unusual, in that he also tried to take out his own kid.

A friend recently became single again. A woman at work was trying to fix him up with a friend of hers. Nice girl, real decent, except for the fact that she spent a year in prison for killing a boyfriend.
