Time and education are my concern.....Between my husband and me, we have five college degrees.

Say what?
Between my wife and I we have all of ZERO degerees, but somehow we have managed to homeschool all 4 or our kids - 2 through highschool so far.

HSLDA conducted a study of homeschool parents..those with advanced education and those without. There was NO difference in the academic outcome of their children. :o)

Congratulations. FYI...about half of all home school parents who teach their children have no college education. And, the average home schooled child scores better than nine out of ten (87%) of public educated students on standardized testing.

It doesn't take a college degree to make a person a superior teacher. And, having a college degree is absolutely no indication of someone's potential success as an educator.

I'll take a loving, dedicated parent with a high school diploma over a degreed public school teacher, any day.
