I can't believe that the Dims are stupid enough to believe that this will cost Arnold votes. The Hispanic men just looked at this article and said to themselves, "Que hombre!"

All this is is a description of the life and good times of the world's most famous bodybuilder in Southern California in the 1970's. Jesus, as if nobody smoked pot back in those days. How many here survived a Dead concert without at least getting astral from the secondhand weed smoke?

I would be more embarrassed to admit that I had a Leisure Suit in my wardrobe in those days than to admit I smoked pot. Geez, this article is rather tame.

California politics has, imho, adopted the Cardinal Rule of Southern Politics: Don't get caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

So he was a kid in the 70's, what was Bustamonte doing??? Huffington???? Davis???? The answer is the same for each.

Not Tom McClintock, or most decent conservatives for that matter.

The interview was done after Pumping Iron was released, and he spoke nothing but english in the movie.

It is slander to use such fodder in a manner as if it still has relevance today

Technically/legally, "slander" must be spoken & the words, etc in question must be false.

This is neither.

IIRC, what Clinton got a ot of heat for was his inability to admit that he had ever done anything wrong.

"I didn't inhale."

"I never had sexual relations with that woman..."

I mean just as long as we're all concerned about semantics.

It is slander to use such fodder in a manner as if it still has relevance today.

Whether it has "relevance" today is up to each individual voter. Ever hear of the slogan "We Report, YOU Decide"?

Quite frankly, I am far far far more concerned about Ahnold's position on illegal immigration and taxes in 2003 than who he slept with in 1977. This is a distraction.

BINGO, that is exactly correct, especially in hyper-sexed California... What a miss calculation.

No, you don't understand. Arnold slept with Miss Calculation as well.

P.S.: Is there anyone here who hasn't figured that Wild Bill and His Bent Manhood are seething with envy? Is there anyone here who doesn't believe that Hillary Clinton holds feelings of canine jealousy towards Maria Shriver.

Those Kennedy women! Poor Hildebeast has to settle for the Bent Twig. It's enough to drive a woman into the arms of....other women!

One of my favorite movies was Becket with Peter O ' Toole ... he became the arch bishop and turned on his best friend the king --- sometimes the office will make the man !

For entertainment value arnold is the king I' m afraid ... probably a clinton on steroids --- fried brains - no character !!

I'll tell you, I'm going to vote for the Republican frontrunner no matter who he is. But it makes me a little uncomfortable. We're going to be accused of hypocrisy in a way that resonates with a lot of voters out there for on the one hand criticizing Bill Clinton for his many failings, then a few years later jumping wholeheartedly on the Arnold bandwagon.

Deja vu all over again.

The Dems are using the same stategery that Davis used to boost Simon over Riordan in last year's primary.

Arnold is like Barry Bonds with first base open. The Dems are trying to take the bat out of his hands and pitch to McClintock, the guy they know they can strike out.

It's working well among the unwitting accomplices around here.

If you were truly concerned about immigration and taxes and the welfare of the state and nation. You would put your pride aside and assure that Cruz Bustamante will have no chance of getting in office.

Not quite. But you *are* an adult in your 20s. At least I was. My only issue is with people who try & excuse it (ala Henry Hyde) as a "youthful indescretion".

Personally, I could care less what he did. I just find it funny that everyone's acting like some reporter broke into his house & searched through his drawers or followed him around. It was an interview in a magazine -- perfectly legitimate target.

There is no nudity in the article at thesmokinggun. Just talk about bodybuilding, sex, and drugs. (The controversial gist is that he did not decline to avail himself of the ample opportunities for sex, and was unabashed about drinking booze and smoking marijuana.)

All I'll say about this is that if Bill Clinton had done the things he did prior to 1977 and reformed his act, I'd never have given him the trouble I did.

Bill Clinton was, is and always will be a diseased brain infested likely traitor and felon.

The posting of this article is unfortunate. I can only shake my head that anyone would think it relevant today.

I made some terrible choices in my youth. I congratulate you if you didn't.

It's obvious he's no Arnold fan and will dig up the dirt on him for the Dems. I wonder if he's on their payroll.

Matt Drudge is a hard-core PRO-LIFE advocate. He hates all pro-abortion candidates and politicians. It has nothing to do with the Democrats, IMHO.

The Dems are smokin' something themselves if they think that sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll are going to defeat Schwarzenneger in California. What? He smoked pot as a young man, and had sex with women? I'm shocked I tell you. Just shocked.

I vote absentee. By the time the election is actually here, I will have voted Yes on the recall, and McClintock for Governor.

I agree. But a 20 something single guy who is tops in his particular skill will sometimes deviate into this stuff. I dont agree with Arnold but I cant use this as some sort of reason to think he is unfit unless there is proof he still tokes it with other orgy members to this day...Otherwise, its just someone trying to kick dirt.

Sigh* What a pathetic attempt at slander. I haven't changed since 77' either. . .

Funny how Freepers looked at old "hijinks" with less generosity when it was Clinton's background we were talking about. Being the establishment Republican candidate means you can have skeletons of the same kind that got Clinton pummeled on this board. (I was one of the pummelers - - and I'm not sure why I should adopt a double standard now simply because Arnold has been endorsed by PEte Wilson)

He admitted drug use in this 1977 interview, and then later denied ever having done any drugs in a 1988 Playboy interview.

He claims to have voted for 187 in '94, then states in 2002 that illegals should be entitled to free education. This goes to honesty and credibility.

But then again, I doubt lack of honesty will hurt him. The prevailing attitude on this forum is the Al Davis motto: "JUST WIN BABY!"

One of the things that protects Arnold is that he stayed out of the Impeachment imbroglio and did not criticize Clinton. Only now is it apparent why he thought the way he did.

Dems can't scream "hypocrite"!

What is the point of bringing up something Bill Clinton and his brother did 26 years ago? But Freepers were fixated on Clinton's alleged sex antics of the 1970s and 80s - - - but DON'T TELL US ABOUT ARNOLD, AND THAT'S AN ORDER!
