This appearance really makes you wonder about Hillary's intentions. She's been relatively quiet lately. But when polls show W slipping a bit, and Dean starts surging ahead, she suddenly starts beating the drum on an issue she hopes will hurt Pres. Bush politically.

Here's a link to the "scathing" Wall Street Journal editorial about Hillary, referred to in the post:

A little fact that won't be getting much media coverage.

Respirators were given to the workers at ground zero. They complained that they were too cumbersome to wear. There are miles of footage of the workers with their masks hanging around their necks........

As for the general population.....there was visible dust and debris in the air for weeks. Short of the city being evacuated, what was the solution?

I don't think it was Whitman. It was some EPS inspector general type, Nikki something-or-other, who also happens to be a Toon holdover. Nuff said.

She must be worried about her support level in NY and is playing to her constituency.

statement by Hillary: "I know a little bit about how White Houses work. Somebody told the EPA not to tell the people the truth,

Scarborough did a good short segment on that last night. During the 'Joe's Got Issues' segment, he took her statements and made the connection with how the Clintoon White House must have worked. The transcript is not posted yet, I'll keep an eye out for it, probably tommorow.

It should be blindingly obvious to all but the most biased of observers, that most liberals have absolutely no concern about issues in themselves, separate from their utility in bashing Bush.

After spending some time with some lib relatives, they reacted to every negative thing about Bush in their lib papers as if they had a lifelong concern about elevated levels of potassium carbonate in spinach plants, because Bush's Crawford cows were taking a whiz too near some vegetable farms, or something equally stupid.

When the issue failed to stick, and you'd later say "So they just found out all those spinach plants were being effected by deer, and not Bush's cows". Their inevitable response is a complete lack of interest - but an apoplectic outrage about how Bush personally knew that Shuttle tank foam had more cohesive properties in a blunt impact than previously thought - and thus, he personally murdered those astronauts.

Liberals need to be informed to their face - that they have lost all credibility in their criticisms, because their "concerns" and motives are clear.

Maybe someone ought to ask her heinous how far up the food chain in Arkansas the decision came to give Tyson chicken plants a pass on dumping plant waste in the rivers there. A real nightmare that was covered up, I believe, because Tyson is a buddy of ol' Slick.

"demanding Congressional hearings"

Why ..?? SO SHE CAN GET HER FACE ON TV .. FOR FREE!!

Also - there was a poll recently showing Wesley Clark beating GW - there have also been rumors she would ask Clark to be her V.P. Hmmmm? Is that why Clark is suddenly interested in getting into the race ..?? Does Hitlery think she and Clark can beat GW ..?? These people are just pitiful.

"the people need good information in order to make wise decisions"

I never wonder about Hillary's intentions. Her intentions are always evil - and her intentions are only to SERVE HER and her pig of a husband.

As for "people needing good information in order to make wise decisions" - the people had good information - and the people made a very wise decision - THEY IMPEACHED HER LYING IDIOT OF A HUSBAND.

"That's why I'm here today, to say the people need good information in order to make wise decisions...",So Saith Hillary.

What? Did she really say that?Yep,that's why you're on TV regularly, spreading your filthy Saul Alinsky Rules, "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it" This principle has become the essence of the Rotten/Clinton rapid-response tactic. Hillary Rotten has also adhered to Saul Alinsky's rule that "ridicule is man's most potent weapon" and closely follows his advice to "let nothing get you off your target."Yes you Beast, we know exactly why you're there, to consistently practice intense and confrontational politics and spread the Disease (also Dis-Ease) that is National Socialism.

I'm not from NY, but is the air quality a serious issue for people around Ground Zero? I would think security from another 9/11 would be slightly more important.

Unless a bunch of Canadians moved there. After all, a Canadian immigration judge just released a suspected Al Quaeda member in Toronto today.

Here's the transcript from Scarborough I mentioned in my Post#32:

And Hillary Clinton was on the war path again yesterday and she declared that the White House conspired to change statements the EPA made about New York City’s air quality during the weeks after September 11th. This is what she said.
       (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D), NEW YORK: . what transpired in the White House. I know a little bit about how White Houses work.
       (END VIDEO CLIP)
SCARBOROUGH: Sure, she knows about how the White House operates. She spent eight years there running the place. Right now, listen to this. Hillary gives us a glimpse of the old Clinton administration playbook.
       (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CLINTON: I know somebody picked up a phone, somebody got on a computer, somebody sent an e-mail, somebody called for a meeting, somebody in that White House probably under instruction from somebody further up the chain told the EPA don’t tell the people of New York the truth. I want to know who that is.
       (END VIDEO CLIP)
SCARBOROUGH: Yes. I bet she knows how that’s done. It’s called Clinton strategy 1 on 1 — 101. And then, we got to quote, you just lie and you say, I don’t remember a thing. Y you pick up a phone and you sneak the intern out the side door. You get on the computer and you e-mail secrets to the Chinese. You send them an e-mail, let them know the Lincoln bedroom is for sale, and if you get caught, you grandstand. And then you get somebody lower on the chain to take the fall, or blame everything on a vast right-wing conspiracy.
And one more thing in the Clinton play book; never, ever take responsibility for any personal short coming or failure. I am glad to see the Clintons are still in top form and still playing by their own rule book.
