You're using the term man very loosely.

Al Franken is living proof that Arab goatherders had sex with their goats.

Al is one of those who "spent his high school years being stuffed into lockers by other males."
To: Lazamataz
LOL! You're good. No wonder you don't have a gig with SNL.

Franken has not a shred of comedic talent. He is amazingly boring, deluded, and unfunny. In this regard he is no different from his fellow narcissistic paranoid schizophrenics.

Wasn't Pat funny? I wish she (help! I can't think of the actress!) would revive that character.

That was Sean Hannity. Franken followed him down the hall after a show taping, screaming all the way. Security guards had to be called and showed him the door.

Not that he needs the affirmation, but for what it's worth, I worked with the author of this comment on "House Rules". He's one of those rare islands of sanity in an otherwise insane town.
I also interviewed for a job on Lateline, got one look at the kind of people involved, and was enormously grateful to get "passed over". It will give some of you a bit of a smile to know that the people Al was working with were just the kind he deserves.

Thanks. My rememberer was on the fritz. I'm afraid I would have been sorely tempted to deck the little creep.

Al Franken difficult, smelly, and insanely weird? Who would have guessed it?
I think he should be ignored. He has been mildly funny at times. I loved the way the Gores were insulted during his interview with them, but that was painfully true rather than funny.
SNL has hardly ever been funny. Their good fortune is having the only show to watch at that hour. No one with talent stays long.

This guy is a speechwriter for Dr. James Dobson. He's probably a tad biased.

P. J. O'Rourke once said something to the effect that between being on Saturday Night Live during its worst years, starring in movies like "Stuart Saves His Family", and being a general buttboy for the Clintons, Al Franken had likely crossed the line between telling jokes and being one.

A tad biased toward what? Morals? We're all biased.
To: Comedylover
Not even the French like Al Franken.

Al Franken and Chevy Chase are the most angry unfunny SNL graduates I have ever seen. I saw Chevy have a Franken moment on Politicaly Incorect.
To: Lazamataz
Back in the late 70s/early 80s, when I watched SNL with any regularity, the "Franken and Davis" segment invariably signaled comic DEATH.
It was easily the lamest portion of the show, seemingly thrown in as an afterthought.
