FR has made me much more confident and willing to defend my opinions. At the same time, I've become able to read things that at first seemed from outer space and see some validity in them.

It's really cool that everyone can "scream" at the same time, and still be heard! I also like the fact that most of the people who survive here are pretty smart and well-informed.

"...have a full court push about how bad our economy is. The usual labor day bs courtesy of left wingers and union thugs is all over FR today."

Hey Grampa Dave... I've got a real pregnant idea!!!

Let's look up the appropriate medication for "LABOR PAINS" an give it to 'em in an overdose!!!

All they're doin is practicing the politics of envy, anyway! That'll pull their covers as to pretendin ta be conservatives because conservatives want the tide to rise and lift all boats, even theirs loaded with whiney crybabies delivered via "LABOR PAINS!"

Maybe then they wouldn't be such a pain in the differential!!! (as in "rear-end" of a rear-wheel drive vehicle that have been abandoned ever since Jimmy Caatah wuz Prezidunce!!!)(he wuz a nukyear enginear, ya know)

"My, my, my...SierraWasp is a rebel!"

No I ain't! I wuz borned an raised up near Chicago, but I sure do believe in the 10th Amendment and "States Rights!"

Ol Dwight D. Eisenhower blew two things BIG TIME!! The first was appointin that idiot Earl Warren to the Supremes and the second was over reactin to those two idiots Lester Maddox and George Wallace!

Earl Warren started all the "Rural Cleansing" with the "Cows don't vote" decision and sending in troops to beat down the south again just destroyed any remenants of Amendment #10!!! These far reaching decisions were every bit as bad for this nation as the abortion decision and this years "diversity" decision!!!

See? I don't major in minors... do I? I'm just rebellious on general constitutional principles. I wish they'd quit screwin with the founder's equation, lookin for equality where it doesn't exist!!!

I apologize...I should have been more clear.

I didn't mean the "North vs South" kinda rebel.

"I'm just rebellious on general constitutional principles"

I meant you are a

Rebel WITH a Cause.

Thank you for another AWESOME thread.
I've read every post and, with one exception (simply because I didn't understand the implication...can you explain it?), enjoyed each of them.

FreeRepublic has changed my life in many ways. I am afforded forums where I can exercise my debating skills and meet other scientists, stay on top of the latest news, and find something interesting to read or just chat with great folks anytime of the day or night.

Oh yes, and FreeRepublic connected me with a very wonderful friend who has been there through the good times and bad.
