It's great. How the hell did this manage to escape from Hollywood?
By the did you notice all the Fox News flashes in the background.

The writer is openly pro-bush, pro-iraq war (he happens to be British.

Instead of being anti-Bush, pro-Saddam and pretending to be neutral.

alot of excellent details in this film.
george tenet is portrayed as a key leader here, I can see now why he was not fired, he is shown as one of the "new thinkers" in the war on terror.

Here is what I get from what I saw: 1. They knew something was going to happen.
2. Bush wanted to go back to Washington, but they kept saying no until Bush said so. So much for Bush being a coward.
3. There was a Clinton slam in there.

the film ends with a clip of the real Bush speech at the joint session. nicely done.

I kept waiting for the obligatory anti-Bush Hollywood treatment, but there wasn't any! No wonder liberals are filling their pampers over this movie. It shows our president in a very sympathetic light. It brought back so many memories of 9/11. I teared up so many times while watching this. Highly recommended!

DC 9/11: Time of Crisis 125 min. Having played a buffoonish President George W. Bush on Comedy Central's That's My Bush!, Timothy Bottoms does dramatic justice to the Commander in Chief in this involving 2003 docudrama, which chronicles events following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The film is not necessarily about the personalities, according to screenwriter Lionel Chetwynd, [but] about the complexity of what it was like to try and be a leader. Effortlessly blending actual footage with dramatic reenactments, the movie is at times emotional and suspenseful. But it occasionally stumbles when saddling Bush with some overly melodramatic, John Wayne-ish bravado. |

Not to mention that great footage of the SheBeast looking oh-so-blase and bored during his speech to congress at the end. If that doesn't shoot down her Presidential aspirations, nothing will. I am so glad they showed this footage to remind the American people how the SheBeast acted during that speech, in case they've forgotten.

It was really good. I just wish they hadn't used Bottoms because of his involvement with That's My Bush! I hadn't read about this project so for the longest while I expected them to start getting nasty with the storyline or characterizations. And I swear that I could hear the cynical laughs during those scenes that showed the president praying. Catch this film if you can!

Wow. After all the conservative smears that Showtime has turned into movies, along with their pro-gay lineup of shows, I assumed this would be very anti-Bush, so I didn't plan on watching. Guess I'll have to set a tape after all.
