I've seen several of the more hard-core Tom supporters say that.... They dislike Arnold even more than Cruz to Hell...
Principles, doncha know!

Good luck .. they'll throw Dreier or Cox up against Boxer, not Darrell or Bill or Tom. Mark my words. All the California GOP does is capitulate. It's no wonder we have no Republicans in office.

If McClinton stays in the race, and the Republicans lose... "McClinton"???
You're attacking the conservative in the race... You realize that, don't you?

Well seems to me the problem here is a lack of capitulation. The writing is one the wall for McClintock and Uberoth. Why won't they throw iin the towel?
To: NYC Republican; ambrose
If McClintock can't possibly win a statewide race in California, then why would you want him to run for the US Senate? In a state-wide race, he would have much more time to raise $$$, paint Boxer as an extremist, and wouldn't have Arnold to go against
He would also be better known after this race and the 2002 race. A run for the senate would thus be his third statewide race. If he drops out, Arnold does fund raising for him to provide the financial support for the campaign. Running in Kalifornia is not cheap.

It's too bad that the only main difference between Arnold and Cruz is their stance on taxes.
WRONG.

Bustamante is liberal, but at least he showed up for the debate. And he is taking money from the Indian casinos by the millions, and he is vowing to raise taxes and cigarettes and alcohol, and he is a racist who wants illegals to have more rights than we do. But he is better than Arnold, right?????
I swear, I would rather keep Davis than have Bustamante!

He claims to be a conservative, but there is nothing conservative about knowingly throwing an election to the liberals.
McClintock is not serious about running.
Proof..... a $10 a head fundraiser of 200. He needs money, big money. The casino money he's sharing with Bustamante isn't enough. A serious candidate would have a serious fundraiser, and he hasn't done that.
To support McClintock is to support a man who knows that he is tanking the republican's only hope to get rid of Davis /Bustamante.

Excuse me?? You're talking to someone who lives here and has a great interest in getting rid of the Dems. You don't live here, yet you would sacrifice MY state just to suit YOUR ideological agenda?
Give me a break.

Wrong again. You're on a roll.

In a short race, with so many candidates, it's MUCH tougher for Tom to win, IMO. Actually, since the media have no idea how to poll 130 candidates, these polls are meaningless. Someone with 30% could win the election. The truth is the opposite of what you stated.

Your undecideds are higher in your estimate than they were in the Aug. 15/16 poll which were at 14% then. They may have gone up but I'd not think that much.... jmo.

Damn right she's crossing the line. She's associating McClintock's good name with that of a rapist/murderer. Yes, and just to get a liberal elected. Shameful.

Where are you getting this? Try illegal immigration, driver's licenses for illegals, "English only", support of businesses rather than unions, parental notification, against PBA, and on and on and on. I must be some kind of masochist: why do I keep bothering to point out this stuff to people who refuse to listen?

This utter lack of polls means that the Dems are hurting more than they want to let on, I think. No it means they dont want to be polling around the Labor Day Holiday when people are traveling or at least out of the house.

The Republicans can band together and take the state from the Dems or they can duke it out and let the Dems keep it. If the California GOP ran candidates who actually stood for something other than Democrat-lite, maybe we'd win some elections.

YES on Recall 55% NO on Recall 40%This is definitely bad news for Davis. The yes on recall number seems to be holding steady for the most part, despite wall-to-wall media coverage of Davis carrying out one of the most despicable slimings of the political opposition I have ever seen. It would be interesting to see if that number has changed in response to Davis' latest assault (not running for governor if you can't pronounce the state name).

They don;t care. All they see is stars. They forsake principles for a chance to win. Only one problem, even if Tom dropped out, Arnie's team will end up having more dems advising him than conservatives.
Hell, he sleeps with a dem. OH , is that OK to say, even tho it's the truth? :-\
Let them keep up their visious attacks on Tom and those who support him and supported Simon. The media has done their job well,, again.
What can ya say? Things change and things stay the same.
You should study the fall of the roman empire. The parallels are stunning as to what is happening in California and this country.
