Damn right she's crossing the line. She's associating McClintock's good name with that of a rapist/murderer. But Clinton can do something in California than McClintock cant...WIN.

My dear man, you all are doing well enough in california ditching your state over your ideological differences. You all do not need any help. I suggest the two unelectables drop out and let Arnold have a go but I also wonder if Arnold really wants to do it, I think the job may take more than anyone can do at this point. The state may have to sink more to get change. That is not ideological. I know you don't believe it, but all of us appear to be on the same side. The tactics just differ. Dont piss off your friends.

This thing is a free-for-all... The reality is that there are more than 15 Democrats running. The media and DNC are just pushing one of them. My sample ballot shows that 50 of the 135 candidates are 'Rats.
What that has to do with ANYTHING is beyond me.
To: ladyinred
I swear, I would rather keep Davis than have Bustamante! I know you are being sarcastic here, and I truly get your point. You spoke a mouthful here. As in, maybe THAT'S what's going on. Scare us into thinking Bustamante will win, and then we'll vote no on the recall.
I'm sure I'm late to come to this "suspicion" and that others have already suspected it. But you just made me see the reality of it.

"... You're right about that. If Cruz wins, I will be leaving CA within the next year. That's a promise. I know so many people who are planning on moving that it's frightening." We're probably leaving anyway. Let the Republican Bustamante voters stay here with their arms folded in smug satisfaction at the collapse of the state waiting for millions of disaffected Californians to magically turn Republican overnight.
Some posters here are smoking some pretty strong shit.

DU is in love with you and your throwing away your vote in support of Bustamante.
That was being worse than any Rino could be IMO!
If McNader had Arnold's numbers and electability, I would be pushing McC right now.
He never got his sh!t together in this state and to proudly boast of throwing your vote away hardly impresses people who don't want Democrats in power pushing a far more militant agenda.
In this race, McClintock has been a self serving curse to this state and is enemy #1 from now on as far as I am concerned.
I don't back spoilers who help get Democrats elected.
The same issue gets me mad at some Libertarians who do that as well over their precious drugs.
Good night Clam, your service to Bustamante and the Democrat party is noted.

Like I have said, you've not listened to Arnold. He's been quoted in print, radio and all over the media.
From what you are posting, you are uninformed or informed and pushing another agenda (not uncommon on these threads at all).

I feel the same way about Ross Perot,,as far as I am concerned he is responsible for Clinton and I will hate that little twerp as long as I live.

He claims to be a conservative, but there is nothing conservative about knowingly throwing an election to the liberals.
The same RNC that is behind Arnold has been throwing elections to liberals in California for the last nine years, with their failure to aggressively address Illegal Aliens since the passage of Proposition #187 in 1994. They've torched the bridges, and that's why you see such a staunch resistance among many McClintock supporters to Arnold's candidacy. We've been warning about the likes of Bustamante, MEChA, La Raza and la reconquista for years, only to be stabbed in the back over and over again by the cowards at the RNC. Now they've "discovered the threat of Bustamante, and they want us to save them from the consequences of their cowardice... By guilt-tripping us into voting for Arnold, who says that he wants to lobby Washington to legalize so-called "undocumented immigrants" anyway. Yeah, that'll work.

(Arnold opposes the driver's licenses, but he also wants to lobby DC to legalize Illegal Aliens. Ah.)
To: Gritty
It's the huge number of "undecided" who will decide this contest. A good percentage of undecideds never get around to voting. Personally I cant imagine anyone who is undecided now deciding to vote for McClintock. If they were going to vote for a hard conservative, they would already be lined up to vote for him.

You certainly didn't say that in your first post:
I think we might be better off if Cruz gets elected and shows his colors, then there might be a backlash against dems for a generation.
To: Sabertooth
I don't see it as "guilt tripping",,i see it as having a good sense of reality. If you all think McClintock is electable, you are beyond help.
To: My2Cents
I've seen precisel the opposite stated here in the various threads. I get around. I read almost all the Cal recall threads. However, I am getting old. My memory is not what it used to be. I have to rely on you sharp young'ens to keep me informed. I do not remember seeing any such statements. Please refresh my memory.
Would you be so kind as to help this old man out and provide a couple of links to posts where a Freeper has said he supports Arnie and would not vote if Arnie dropped out.
TIA

McClintock is mirroring the twerp and will be thought of the same. His career is dead in this state now.
With absentee ballots able to be cast, he is destroying the Republican party with his Napoleon complex.
He has crossed the line by not being out at the point of absentees being available. He is the SPOILER of California 2003.

I said "might" and it was for discussion. Noone here will answer me when I ask if a pub can survive what it is going to take to turn your state around. It will be ugly. It will be long. And a guy upthread said it better than I could. The person who is governor next may be doomed along with his political party. What is it going to take and for how long and at what price? Nobody answers.

And another thiing,,you think a generation long backlash against dems is a bad thing? I think that might be a great outcome.
