I think he means "revolting" as in "fighting back".

That explains the Judge nominations in the Senate.

Don't get me started, I'm still seeing red over the GOP senate failure.

Name one that can get nominated, let alone elected.

With the right packaging I would try Tom Delay.

The conservatives are revolting!

???

Absent, at least in their actions, if anything ... or are you perchance, once again like MANY on this board, confusing Republicans with Conservatives?

KNOW anything about 'set theory'?

The guy also had a bad attitude and came across as a total ass. Clearly he's hostile towards true conservatives -- he answered conservative objections with arrogance, as though we're just morons...

THAT would be the Jerry Ford/country club wing of the RNC saying that ...

Much tap dancing - really disgusted. If the WH wasn't doing such a good job - and they are - with the WOT, I would definitely vote 3rd Party or stay home next year.

I think you are correct, and that was the first meaning I took.

Personally, I think conservative values are advanced when conservatives express disappointment with political leadership. That doesn't make the conservatives "not team players."

Gilespie is Bushs's pick and serves at the President's pleasure.[sic]

Gillespie's integrity is seriously called into question. He can SAY that he started serving under Reagan and worked with Gingrich and Delay, but from what my ears heard he can't be placed with those three men when it comes to conservative opinion. If Bush is telling him what to think, he needs to quit. If Bush is NOT telling him what to think, he needs to stop invoking the names of people we wish he were like.

ANYONE who has the backbone to clearly enunciate his (or her) views to the American public; ala Ronald Reagan ...

I'd go for Tom Tancredo myself.

I like the callers Rush is putting on to comment. They sound like the type of people who would go online and Rip a RINO Senator a new Hillary like any good Republican who wants to stop the party's leftward movement should.

The use of the term 'RINO', in my book, clearly demonstrates the concept that ALL people do not realize that *all* Republicans are *not* conservatives ...

His father was sitting on a huge wave of popularity at this point in his presidency yet got barely 35% of the vote in the general election because his base had perceived that he had abandoned them.

Bush the Younger is dangerously close to doing the same thing. He thinks that he can throw us a few bones and then slap us down with no repercussions.

Rush has gotten as bad as any moderate. ... I remember when he used to talk about ending all entitlements.

Gee, that's a little out-of-the-question and not something that's currently on the plate right now - don't you think?

Rush, BTW, has HARPED on this aspect TIME and TIME again - this AND last year ....

Still find it interesting that the RNC chairman goes on Rush to talk to the base with such a condescending and offensive attitude. Can they do anything but continue to alienate their base?

I take it you haven't been listening.]

In fact some of the "Team GOP" types here now hate Rush, because he has, at times, been critical of the president and his administration.
