With the bastardization of state drivers licences and the rampant forging of Social Security cards and numbers, is it time for a national ID card?

For the purpose of entering the country, we already have a national ID card. Its called a passport.

I wish government would quit using the drivers license for purposes other that showing you know how to drive a car.
