The "stench of apocalypse." The religious language is not insignificant: Earlier, he spoke somewhat incongruously of Daniel Pearl’s final moments of captivity as his "Golgotha," his "Calvary," virtually making him a Christ figure. Now, Mr. Lévy is painting a portrait of Danny Pearl as the Galahad who pierced the secret hiding place of terrorism’s Unholy Grail. All of Mr. Lévy’s speculations may be true, but that doesn’t mean they were Danny Pearl’s.

Pak nuke ping; OK, it's just more speculation, but it's chilling nonetheless. As quantifiable as the hate there, we need to start heeding the warnings NOW.

This has legs. Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Pakistan has a military and secret police thoroughly penetrated by fundamentalists. Pakistan is probably the current host country of Osama Bin Laden, with the cooperation of at least some elements of the government. Pakistan has a president who does not have reliable control of his intelligence service, military forces, border territory or nuclear weapons and related materials. We are not taking the Pakistan nuclear program seriously and it is very likely going to cost us terribly. Look at the ease with which Iraq's wmds were snuck out through Syria before the war. How can we ever be sure that every nuclear weapon Pakistan has produced is accounted for, especially given the lack of control of the borders?

most of all to place control of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons—the so-called "Islamic bomb"—at the disposal of the worldwide Islamic crusade against the infidels of the West.

I hope we have plans in place to deal with the Paki scum. They are even more dangerous than North Korea.

Perhaps we should help provoke a war between Pakistan and India, and supply India with the means to wipe out most of Pakistan.

The world needs to be taught a very sharp lesson. I don't think Afghanistan and Iraq were nearly sufficient.

Daniel Pearl was killed because he was a Jew in Muslim land. Muslims HATE Jews. Worse yet for Daniel was that he wished to remain naieve about this age old hatred and actually try to learn about this, first hand. As a Jew je ajd NO business in enemy territory - much less investigating WHY they hate Jewish people.

I have no doubt that the U.S. will be attacked with nuclear weapons but I do NOT believe it has anything to do with Daniel Peal and I do NOT believe Daniel learned anything new. The hatred for Jews by Muslims is too intense and surely a Muslim would NEVER take a Jew into their inner circle. Daniel's foolishness caused his hideous death.

Here is a collection of Daniel Pearl's articles:

http://www.geocities.com/spyjaguar/articles.html

Of all the sites I've found that carry his articles, there is one that I read in WSJ's newspaper that I cannot find anymore. Daniel had written an article about Taba, in NYC, http://www.tabainc.com He said it was either one of OBL companies or connected to OBL.
