There has been no debating. Arnold is an empty suit whose "positions" have been totally focus group driven. His supporters on here refuse to discuss issues. They simply refer to polling data. This is the way Clinton ran his presidency.
I am not surprised that the RINOs won out at the convention. Let's face it, the people there aren't serious. It is like a sporting event. They spend more time drinking themselves into drunken stupors at the hospitality suites than they do discussing anything serious, like the future of our state.
Pathetic.

You've worn em out, ambrose! ;-) But don't worry, they'll come out in packs before the day is over...
Actually I was trying to lower my intake of daily idiotic post. This thread alone has filled my quota for the day.

"ARNOLD IS A REPUBLICAN" Did you read the article? I didn't like the cheap shot about his father, but the rest was pretty good.Do you really believe that Arnold is a robot also?I do. He is more robot than republican.

The Republican Party is becoming more moderate and more inclusive... This is the 21st century, not the 12th.

See post 27.
The RINOs will spin an Arnold victory, should it happen, as nothing more than an unqualified endorsement for Amnesty, more spending, taxes, etc. Can you live with that?

Do you have any guiding values or principles in terms of your political outlook? If so, what are they?

Still worse, however, are the right-side commentators who urge conservatives to abandon their principles and line up behind this false Republican god. To sacrifice your own soul to the naked pursuit of power is bad enough, to tempt others to do likewise is not just the ultimate in negative campaigning, it is pure political Satanism. Deja vu, all over again.
Next, FR develops hard drive problems, Arnold wins, does everything socialist, but nobody will say anything about it...oh, and all the "T" keys will be missing from the keyboards in the CA Governor's mansion.

Haha. Yes, I would expect some mass amnesia on the part of the Arnold boosters on here, once he proposes his giant tax hike (based on fiscal emergency revealed in his "audit", no doubt).
What's amazing is that many of these same Arnold Groupies go on other threads and bash RINOs like Arlen Specter. How is Arlen different from Arnold other than in looks and charisma? Have we all become that superficial?

Personal responsibility vs. big government interference.

I disagree, as you know, with your premise... as do other "rinos" like "robert".
But I can LIVE with any kind of "spinning" and I will do my best to LIVE even if taxes go up, amnesty is granted to illegals and spending for government "services" goes ever higher.
Like it, NO... Live anyhow... YES.
AND I think it will not be as you fear.
If Arnie wins, and does NOT work in support of a large, blanket amnesty, higher taxes and continued explosion of spending... would you consider your "glass" 10 percent full?
I guarantee you that whatever is in the glass, if arnie is elected, would be far more than will be in it if Busty is elected... And Tom, who will probably not win the governors chair, will most likely be useful EXACTLY where he is... on the Senate Floor, leveraging the financial details amongst his colleagues.
If arnie gets elected and vetoes a democraptic bill... I expect that we will at least be able to uphold the veto. Arnie will cut deals to get SOME of our stuff through... and after the election next year, we might even see a balance of power change in the California legislature.
why am I confident that the state will MOVE to the right, with Arnie... because for the last several years, it has gone as far left as is humanly possible... it HAS to swing back to center.
But this has been thrashed to death.
You vote your conscience, I will vote mine.
Folks are tired of this stuff. And frankly so am I.
