I'd just like to be the one to ask him this question:
"Gen. Clark you were once the supreme comander of europe. As such military stratagy was your bread and butter and should be an area of expertice where you are nearly unparalleled. Having said that you stated that our stratagy in iraq would not succeed because we didn't have adequate forces in place. As you know we rolled over their army and conqoured teritory faster than any other army in human history. Would you defend the united states as adequately as you thought Iraq had defended their land? "

What about Clintonista Admiral Crowe, ex Charmain of the JCS, Ambassador to England under Clinton, board member of Bioport, the Anthrax Vaccine manufacturer.

Oh my.. somehow the un spell checked version got through...

Gen. Clark you were once the supreme commander of allied forces in Europe. As such military strategy was your bread and butter and should be an area of expertise where you are nearly unparalleled. Having said that, you stated that our strategy in Iraq would not succeed because we didn't have adequate forces in place. As you know we rolled over their army and conquered territory faster than any other army in human history. Would you defend the United States as adequately as you thought Iraq had defended their land?

You know, I have a completely different take of Wesley Clark's recent political enthusiasm. My sister who, for many years, has been a highly respected, active and influential REPUBLICAN in her area of Southern California knows Clark quite well, both socially and politically. Even I have met him at her home several times. He strikes me as quiet, mild-mannered (almost shy and backwards) and frankly, an "A-political" person. I can not imagine this man in a political debate, he will immediately implode with just a little pressure. After meeting him I was stunned and still am to learn about his extensive educational background because he seemed a little "dim." I would have never guessed his rank had I not been told in advance. My sister has never known him to have a political life or opinion other than a casual association with "Bill" Clinton (not Hillary). He melded quite well in this right-wing circle. When he became NATO commander, again I was stunned and my first thought was well, being friends with Bill is the only thing that got him that job. I felt and still do feel that his criticism of Bush and the war campaign was not his idea, out of character and being orchestrated by others and for another purpose which is now evident. He stuttered way too much during his appearances on CNN, was way too wrong for a four-star and was uncomfortable with his diatribe. "GENERAL" Wesley Clark is being used because he is one of the few high visibility military people who the Clintons can hitch their wagon to at this time. These "Little Rock" connections are scary and I suspect they are even scarier to the people connected to them. This is going to be a real debacle.

What about Clintonista Admiral Crowe?

I don't know much about him...perhaps an exception. I left the Air Force in 1992...with droves of others. My sense at the time was that those who remained to endure the Clintonian stench did so because they still had time to serve on their last hitch or were so close to retirement it would be foolish to leave in a huff. It was an unusual time, but MANY of the best & brightest bailed out...perfect conditions for the scum to rise to the top & become Big Cheese!

BTW, Gen Wuss Clark HAD to know about (and, at least, look away) the shafting Clinton pulled on that Army Colonel at Univ of Alabama (the ROTC Commander who Slick Willie hoodwinked to dodge the draft so he could go to England on a Rhodes Scholarship & lead anti-USA demonstrations at Oxford).

Oooops....Univ of Alabama should be Univ of Arkansas.

That Colonel--the ROTC Commander--was a good man! God bless him, wherever he is...

General Clark is also an investment banker. He joined Stephens Inc. as a consultant in July of 2000 and was named Managing Director – Merchant Banking of Stephens Group, Inc. from March 2001 through February 2003.

I found this info off the www.draftwesleyclark.com web site. Anyone know anything interesting about the Stephens Group?

I think there may be some interesting stuff here regarding Clark's work for the Stephens Group. Old Mena ties, maybe. This might bear some looking into. Could you ping anyone you think might be interested?

Thanks for reminding me - because of the Posse Comitatus, shouldn't it have taken an Act of Congress to activate those weapons and personnel? And we haven't even gotten to the allegations that Clark drew up the plans and was on the scene dressed as a civilian when those women and children were slaughtered. This needs serious exposure.

Thanks for the heads up, mewzilla! I'm not sure who all are researching this, but I suspect archy probably has the largest storehouse of information on Arkansas.

I think Clark was calling his masters at CNN to see if he could answer questions - it should be enough to put an end to his campaign - how could a President function if he were so indecisive and in need of handling?

Thanx for the interesting perspective.
I wonder if he will even survive to the debates (much less through them).
As they say, "Nothing good can come of this....."

Thanks for the heads up, mewzilla! I'm not sure who all are researching this, but I suspect archy probably has the largest storehouse of information on Arkansas.

Tony Hayes and Charlie Thompson likely have me beat, but Charlie's a little busy with other fish to fry right now. Mara Leveritt and Les Sleago probably knew their respective areas of Little Rock and Pine Bluff far better than anyone else ever will, though the late Tony Moser probably came close on Pine Bluff goings-on and could have brought Les up to date on a few recent loose ends from his days there.

And there was one Arkansas newspaper editor who did a really marvelous job, masterful, of detailing the rise and fall of one crime family's narcotics trafficking links between Marianna, AR and Detroit. but that sort of thing wasn't appreciated by those running the really big operations in Arkansas, and down they went.

So there are a lot of journalists and other snoops who can beat me in that respect in their own back yards, though I like to think I keep a pretty good eye on the place from Memphis. But I've got to cover Mississippi and Nashville too, so a few details in AR slip by me now and again.

There sure are a lot of interesting books coming out of late though, in particular Mara's on the *West Memphis Three.* But there's another in the works, and further deponent sayeth not, at least not until some details are worked out and come to pass.

Thank you oh so very much for the overview on the journalistic experts on Arkansas! However, unless one of them is a Freeper - you remain our resident expert in the matter and thus we need to lean on you for leads, if you don't mind. Hugs!!!

Yes, and also don't overlook links to the Indonesian Lippo Group, whose dealings with Webb Hubble included a $500,000 payment to him for unspecified *services,* the contract for which was among the material reviewed by Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr...and Jackson Stevens was also reportedly a party named in that contract.

Since Hubble and Clark are both connected to the same circle of string-pullers, expect similar links and fundraising connections for Clark's forthcoming efforts, though I bet he brings a few of his own to the table as well, particularly those connected to the Kosovo KLA/UCK and Russian mafia's *bizness* dealings.

Albania was in Mao's orbit, not the Russkies.

(Source: Dale McFeatters, Scripps Howard News Service, "Link to goggle cache.)

From 1944 to 1990, Albania was a wacky little communist dictatorship sealed off from the rest of the world. Under the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha, a committed Stalinist, all foreigners were expelled, the churches and mosques closed and farms and businesses collectivized with the usual dismal consequences. His lasting contribution to the country was to cover it with pillboxes, defense against various imaginary foes.

In the course of some internecine communist quarrel, Hoxha broke off diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and allied himself with Red China. Until the Chinese tired of him, Hoxha on behalf of Chairman Mao regularly issued belligerent denunciations of capitalism, imperialism, the West and, from time to time, Moscow that regularly began something like, "We, the united socialist peoples of Albania and China, standing shoulder to shoulder together 1,002,800,000 strong ... " The 2.8 million was Albania's contribution.

And there the Russkies went and took that airfield before Rhodes Scholar and Warrior Clark could get there. Maybe they understood the game.
