The following is but a portion of Cruz Bustamante's plan:
McClintock phone calls to Republicans
The phone calls that have been received by Republicans throughout the State bashing Arnold were not put out by the McClintock campaign. The end message of the pre-recorded phone call says that it was paid for by the California Republican Assembly Independent Expenditure Committee. The attack ad against Arnold Schwarzenegger was a poorly conceived attempt by the CRA to help Tom McClintock. Even my own wife thought she would not want to vote for McClintock because of his attack on Arnold.
What is important here is some Republicans denounced the attack ads against Arnold when they occurred. But somehow the issue didnt die. And even now some suggest that we should not vote for McClintock because of ads someone else put out. This issue is a great one for Cruz Bustamante because both McClintock and Arnold are hurt here, and I believe that it is minions of Cruz keeping the animosity alive.
Indian Tribes contribute to McClintock
Why Indian Tribes contribute money to McClintocks gubernatorial campaign and not to his campaign for controller? The Tribes contributed to McClintocks campaign for two reasons. The first reason is that McClintock is against regulations and could actually help the Tribes, regulation wise. The second reason is that the Tribes really want Cruz, so they contribute to hurt Arnold. But how are the Tribes theoretically contributing? They are planning on using independent expenditures on ads promoting McClintock. Note what is happening here. Cruz and his campaign have learned well. They saw ill-conceived attempt by the CRA go awry and its aftermath. And now they are going to promote McClintock. Watch the ads when and if they do arrive and see if McClintock is simply put in a good light, or will the ads be in line with the Cruz campaign, and be horrible attack ads on Arnold, thereby hurting both McClintock and Arnold. Expect the latter to occur.
Women Against Arnold
Is it coincidence that suddenly women anywhere near camera crews are denouncing Arnold because he is against women? There were many premieres of his various movies where these same women were absent. Why did they not protest previously? One of the leaders of one of these organizations talked to John & Ken on KFI640 in Los Angeles a few days back. She asserted that Arnold has a terrible reputation with women and treated women badly. However, when asked by John & Ken what her actual complaints were she could not come up with even one. The closest she came up with was Arnolds character in his movies sometimes treat women badly. Note that when women are interviewed they will say how Arnold treats women badly, but they will not be specific about any actual events, how convenient. And of course, these women just happen to be part of the N.O.W. which just happens to be liberal. Go figure. And does the Cruz campaign have a hand in the sudden revelation that Arnold treats women badly? I think they do.
Cruz Attack on Arnold as a Racist
When Cruz attacked Arnold based on his support of Prop 187, this was an attempt to hurt Arnold while concealing the fact that it is Cruz, not Arnold that is the racist. The facts surrounding Cruz as a racist are well known, but will be repeated here for newcomers to the discussion.
Two years ago, when addressing a group of 300 Blacks, Cruz let the N word fly when referring to Blacks. Immediately after the event he apologized and said he got tongue tied and did not mean it. After two days the matter, though disturbing on how someone in this day and age could let that word slip, was dropped by the media. In a recent debate a young Black asked the question Since two years ago you mentioned the N word, if you become Governor, would you consider appointing a black to fill the Lieutenant Governor position so as to mend fences between Blacks and Hispanics? Cruz said that first of all he never used the N word, and that people thought they heard it, so he apologized for it, even though he never said it. Cruz took his entire allotted time for his response denying he ever used the N word. When the young Black asked Cruz once again if he would appoint a Black to be Lieutenant Governor, Cruz said Well I could appoint a Black or I could appoint a Latino, or a Gay or Lesbian, or an Arab. I would just appoint the most qualified individual fill the vacancy. Note the lack of Whites and Asians is Cruzs answer. This was not a slip that he forgot Whites and Asians.
In college at Fresco State, Cruz belonged to MEChA a known racist group that believes for the race everything, for outside of the race nothing. No matter how many times Cruz has tried to explain how the group helps student achieve, one cannot get past the fact that the group believes that they have the right to Aztlan which comprises major portion of the southwest United States. The key here is not what Cruz did in college in the 1970s that is irrelevant. But the fact that he refuses 25 years later to denounce MEChA as racist begs one to wonder if he in he still believes in the rights of the race to have Aztlan. This was also not a slip, in that he has been asked repeatedly to denounce MEChA and what they stand for and he has refused to not only denounce them but to say anything bad about them at all.
As for Arnold, two Black body builders accused Arnold of using the N word, more than 25 years ago. This is not only irrelevant if he did it at all, but is almost comical in timing. Why now after so many years did these two suddenly figure that Arnold alleged use of the N word was offensive? To understand this better, one has to know that the use of the N word among Blacks is common and that in the locker room or on the competition circuit slang is thrown around like the sweat that athletes generate. If Arnold did say something in the competition setting in the 1970s, it cannot be compared to a non-Black saying the same thing today. Note that between Blacks the term is somehow still considered acceptable jargon. Was Cruz somehow associated with these Blacks suddenly feeling wronged? He probably was, and how ironic that Cruz would bring up the racial issue.
The McClintock Cant Win Mantra
While McClintocks numbers are in the low to high teens depending on the poll, it is clear that the numbers have risen in the campaign. Commentators like Hugh Hewitt, John & Ken on KFI, have pushed that McClintock is a great man but he cannot win so we would be silly to vote for him. This mantra began early and continues with the election almost three weeks away. Hugh has taken the stand the McClintock absentee voters are bleeding votes from Arnold. This is all good three weeks before the game quarterbacking, but all the plans of war instantly change once the first shot is fired. If Arnold does not get enough votes on Election Day he loses. What if scenarios of an Election that is close, with the only if we had these votes or those votes are irrelevant. A guaranteed method for Arnold to win is that he should go out campaigning and convince enough voters to vote for him.
The Cruz campaign wants to keep the fight going for as long as possible to bring down both McClintock and Arnold. But if as some have wished, McClintock drops out watch what happens next. I will not speculate as to what charge or charges will be leveled at Arnold, but expect the worst from Cruz as you will certainly get that or worse.
Since I drifted into the what if in describing the requirement for McClintock to give up, what happens if Arnold has to drop out? If Arnold has to drop out to take care of a loved one, has a medical problem (i.e. Rudy Giuliani), he gets fed up with the process, has some charge thrown at him (you can count on that and it will happen a few days before the Election), what do we do then assuming McClintock has dropped out? The answer is we lose.
Second what if scenario. What if the full 9th Circuit does not overturn the three judge panel and the U.S. Supreme Court does not hear the case? Then Election Day is in March and a lot can happen between now and March. In March, would it have been a good idea for McClintock to drop out in September? I think not.
The Arnold the RINO Mantra
Certainly the RINO mantra is leveled at conservatives not wanting to give in on social issues. I am one of those conservatives. However, I know what is better and what is worse, and Arnold would be better than Cruz period. However, McClintock is better than Arnold, so I would prefer McClintock assuming he is in the race. Since I am not voting absentee, I can wait until Election Day to punch either McClintock or Arnold.
The Cruz minions have inflamed the RINO arguments with their constant attacks regarding the incredibly obvious. We already know where Arnold stands on the social issues, but the Cruz lobby is making everything worse, count on it.
Cruz and his minions have been and are continuing to add fuel to the fire between McClintock and Arnold supporters. And right now, the fire burns so brightly that we cannot see what Cruz is doing to the GOP.

If that's the intent, if you have the time and inclination,(you certainly have the capability), you might try a summary about some of the main things Davis screwed up and his corruption and Bustamante's miscellaneous shinanigans.
Them is fighting words!!! Oops, I was thinking we were going at it again...
Provided I get enough information, "I will comply" (7 of 9)...
Take care...

Attacking Arnold can only serve to assist the bustamante campaign.
Note that the only "attack" of Arnold by McClintock is that Arnold does not have experience. That is it, and it is true...nothing bad, just he has no experience.
The truly attack ads were done via phone calls paid for by the CRA noted in the my article. I actually called the McClintock campaign about the phone calls, and they said they were an ill-conceived attempt by the CRA to help Tom.
Anyway, no Arnold bashing here...
DD
You and me both -- McC is showing more and more he is not a team player. The CA GOP better refuse to give him any money again for any race he enters. It is obvious that his target is not RATs but fellow Republicans!
You get my last post on this thread...
The "questions in advance" line is a canard.
Not to argue...,,,...,,,...,,,oh what the heck...
The questions are in advance, the good part is that the other candidates do not know what any other candidate is going to say. Then they can question each other from there. The problem with this format though, is that "canned" answers will be the first ones and considering the number of candidates there will not be much in the way of the Lincoln-Douglas back and forth stuff. Sad really...
Once again, nice debating, take care...
DD
That's not entirely true D. Mcclintock sure beat the "Arnold is afraid to debate" horse to death. Something that could only help cruz.
And, as a long standing member of the CRA I take issue with their ads as I see them accomplishing nothing other than to help cruz.
I'd like to see a true conservative become California's next governor as much as anyone here. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is it's a defeat bustamante campaign...and Arnold stands the best chance of doing so.
Well that's funny...
Have I told you that I don't know who you are??
That's like saying George H. W. Bush took votes away from Ross Perot resulting in the election of Bill Clinton. You sure you want to go with that?
Here's the deal people: Tom won't drop out and us Tom-bots won't back down. So quit wishing for it, it ain't gonna happen. PERIOD. End of story.
Let's hope for the good of California you're wrong...about Tom that is. I think he's not about to ruin his political career by being directly responsible for a bustamante win.
The best you can do is join the ranks of prinicipled voters and help us get a real conservative in office.
No, the best I can do is vote for the man who stands a chance of preventing bustamante from becoming California's next governor.
You people keep saying Tom could never win, but I have more faith in the rightness and attractiveness of our cause.
Then vote faith; I'll vote reality.
I believe that if people stopped chasing after the RINO Arnold and really pulled it together behind Tom, he'd come out ahead. Instead people are willing to give up their principles for some vapid fratboy who has surrounded himself with liberals. It's distasteful.
Well, Cap, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. But, unfortunately for Tom, and you too for that matter, too few share it. Have you seen a poll that has him in the lead? Have you seen one that shows him even having a chance? Neither have I.
Vote Mcclintock, elect bustamante
A thoughtful essay but you have made a glaring, fundamental error.
MECHA is not racist. They may well be cultural or religious bigots but they are not racist. As for their moto. The reference to race is an ignorance of basic anthropology. Both they and apparently you have little understanding of the difference between race and culture and between skin color and race.
They have some excuse. They are ignorant, cultural bigots apparenlty full of hate. You are not.
Keep up the passion.:)
What is even worse, good hardworking law abiding republicans visit Indian Casinos contributing to their ability to buy pay for play politicians, like Davis, like Bustamonte.
