Giants Fan Kills Dodgers Fan, Police Say
LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles Dodgers (news) fan was shot and killed by a San Francisco Giants (news) fan following a dispute in the parking lot after a game, police said.
Mark Antenorcruz, 25, of Covina, was shot once in the upper body about 10 p.m. Friday as he headed for his car, police and county coroner's Lt. Gary Kellerman said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The NL West champion Giants had just won 6-4 Friday night and people were leaving Dodger Stadium when a group of San Francisco fans jeered Antenorcruz, who may have given a reply, police said.
The gunman fled after the shooting. Police detectives searched the 16,000-car parking lot in the stadium complex north of downtown for hours but made no arrests. Authorities did not immediately release a description of a suspect or his car.
Neither baseball team commented on the deadly shooting.
The Giants clinched the National League (news) West on Wednesday. Friday's loss, meanwhile, dropped the Dodgers three games behind Philadelphia for the National League wild card slot.

Now now. The Giants are a great team! They are the absolute best at going all the way to second place, over and over again.
The day the Giants win the World Series will be the day that Hell freezes solid.

Hmmm. You just might be right about that. We'll just have to wait and see.

I read giant fan kills then clicked in.
This is what my mind thought.

Never thought it was about wack job at a basebase game.

Being from LA and now living in SF, I can attest that that that a significant number of SF Giant fans are absolute A**holes, who detest the Giants with a level of hate equal to that of the Democrats feelings for Bush.

Because a Dodger fan is dead?
See my post above, it seems appropriate.

That's what I first thought, too. I pictured a big piece of equipment falling on the guy.
BTW, I recently saw video of a Raiders fan stabbing an opposing fan in the stands of a football game (I don't know when the amateur video was shot). We're not as rabid as European soccer fans, but we're getting there. I'm sure there will be a riot somewhere that kills 80 or 90 people, probably after a Super Bowl.

I am a Giants fan-but it's too bad they have not played at home in 46 years.

Over two million Giants' fans attended games this year and this act of violence means all Giants' fans suck?
I'm sorry this guy got killed by one a-hole, but it's an isolated incident.

Stand corrected, sir, that will be the day the Boston Red Sox win the Series. Don't forget about the Cubs &/or White Sox.

BTW, I recently saw video of a Raiders fan stabbing an opposing fan in the stands of a football game I attended a Raider game at the L.A. Coliseum in the late 80's and a Raider fan beat a Steeler fan into a coma a few aisles over from where I was sitting.

In these politically correct times Giants' fans are supposed to root for the Dodgers to win.

Local news here this morning reports a fan followed the suspected shooter's vehicle, got the license plate, and LAPD arrested three suspects already.

Beat LA....

The fans are the ones with the problems, after what I saw at last years world series between the angles and giants, the bay area needs a giant enema!!
