"You know, people talk about how bad it is in California. It's not that bad," said Bustamante, who nevertheless tailored his message for an audience in a county where more than one in five workers are unemployed. To companies that would prefer to move overseas to pay "50 cents an hour or $10 a day," Bustamante said, "Leave! We want good jobs in California. We want decent paying jobs in California."

A lot of points are covered in this article, but I thought Cruz' unique solution to low paying jobs by opening the exit door for low paying companies was worth a mention.

Yep, no difference at ALL between Bustamante and Schwarzenegger...
I still haven't heard, BTW, anyone explain why, if Schwarzenegger is such a "Rabid Socialist Liberal", he just doesn't declare as a Democrat and run as such?
Could it be that beyond all the vitriolic, cliche'-filled (and boringly repetetive), there really IS a difference, should one care to look through logical eyes?

Yeah, a 20% unemployment rate ain't bad!Yuppp....why don't they just spin it as an 80% employment rate? We're all conditioned to 80% being a pretty good passing grade.

Interesting accusations made by Arnold of Tom taking Casino monies for TV spots...
When Arnold took money from the same source to promote himself via his "its for the children" advanced campaign and personal promotion....
Arnold may have "his" own money in the race..but it also now appears that corperate sponsors aka "Special Interest Groups" are pouring money in...
Now why would they do that....out of the goodness of their little hearts no doubt...

On the Republican side, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger collected $423,000 for his campaign and his committee backing the recall, while the Morongo Band of Mission Indians has put $470,000 into an independent expenditure committee for GOP state Sen. Tom McClintock.

Excuse me ? Promote himself ? Arnold was not running for anything at the time.

When you make your own definitions ( corperate sponsors aka "Special Interest Groups" ) I guess you can "prove" anything.

20% unemployment is not a problem under Socialism, because you tax the 80% that is employed to feed the unemployed. The more you earn, the more they will tax.

Did you notice that this article mixed this in with Cruz' and Tom's Indian money while NOT saying that donations Arnolds were Indian money ?
Do you think this was an accident that they would try to sucker in people to think that Arnold was getting Gambling money ?

If you read this paragraph, it compares political donations collected by Arnold's campaign, to independent expenditures made on behalf of McClintock's campaign. In the former case, Arnold has complete control over that money. In the latter case, McClintock has no direct control over how those funds are allocated.
But for all intents and purposes, it doesn't matter. The article goes onto say, "... McClintock said there was nothing wrong with the Morongos and other tribes backing him with television ads and other support, which could top $2 million, because he had been their supporter for two decades".
This is another red herring thrown out by the Schwarzenegger campaign.
Direct contributions to Arnold's campaign have topped $8,000,000!

Yep the direct contributions have a way of saying something about who the people are putting their money on. Most money doesn't flow to losers. Now where did you say McClintock stood in 'direct contributions'?

This is just the warm up for 2004...... Lots of possiblities from the President on down through Senators, Representatives, Governors and others..... Should be an interesting year in 04. Heck everyone should be able to find something or someone to bicker about....

I guess you'll continue playing these stupid games everytime you're challenged on something. Pathetic.
McClintock has raised about $1 million in direct contributions. We all know Arnold is the top guy, but that wasn't my point and you know it too.
You go out of your way to demean and trash a legitimate conservative with a clean record, a solid legislative record and no hint of scandal in his past, in favor of a political liberal and empty suit candidate. Pathetic.
