You drag up Osama Bin Laden out of no where.

What in the world do you think Yee was doing there ???

Too emotional ?

I care about September 11th and what it means to this country.

"...but for the incompetence or worse of others in the Army..."

I've been trying to understand the basis for your illogical comments, which are surprising coming from someone who calls himself an Air Force vet. Now I've figured it out. You hate the Army, and Yee is a way to take a jab.

Go somewhere else.

No definite charges yet . . .

 Ananova:
Islamic chaplain to Guantanamo prisoners detained

A US Army Islamic chaplain who counselled al-Qaida prisoners at Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba has been detained as part of a military investigation, officials said.

Captain James Yee, also known as Yousef Yee, according to US military records in Guantanamo, has been confined since September 10. But he has not been charged with any crimes, US military spokesman Captain Thomas Crosson said.

Captain Crosson said he does not know the nature of the investigation: "If charges were formally filed, then we'd be able to tell you." He didn't know if an Article 32 hearing, similar to a grand jury, had been scheduled.

Captain Yee was taken into custody at a naval station in Jacksonville, Tennessee, Capt Crosson said.

A senior law enforcement official said FBI agents confiscated classified documents Capt Yee was carrying and questioned him before he was handed over to the military.

Bill Hurlburt, a spokesman with the FBI in Jacksonville, confirmed that agents were at the scene, but he declined to comment any further.

Captain Yee is being held at a military brig in Charleston, South Carolina, Capt Crosson said. That is the same place where officials are holding Yaser Esam Hamdi, a US-born Saudi who allegedly fought with the Taliban, and Jose Padilla, a former Chicago gang member charged with plotting to detonate a radioactive "dirty bomb".

Capt Yee is a Muslim chaplain who was assigned to the base at Guantanamo Bay in November, Capt Crosson said. He served as the Islamic adviser to the Joint Taskforce Commander.

The base in eastern Cuba is overseen by the Miami-based Southern Command. It is where about 650 men from 43 countries are held, all accused of having links to the al-Qaida terrorist network or Afghanistan's fallen Taliban regime.

"There is the Federal Pen at Leavenworth for civilians. There ALSO is a separate (different location) Military Discipline Barracks Prison for military."

It so happens The LadyX knows all about the Federal Pen at Ft. Leavenworth....
In 1966, sent an Air Force Communications Fellow there..:))

As a military wife at the time, living in base quarters on Eielson AFB, 30 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska, a telephone call answered one fine day - - was an obscene one!

Knowing the base telephone system was a military one, and with my husband in Security there, I knew if I did not hang up, the call could be traced even if the other person hung up at his end.
He happened to be home after having a dental appointment, so I motioned to him what kind the call was....knew to keep the guy 'occupied' while he dashed next door to have our Communications tap into the call, and make notes.

PROBLEM: "We cannot do a telephone tap without authorization."
SOLUTION: "I am in Security Police, and that is MY WIFE - I authorize you to trace it and record it!"

That worked, and while I 'entertained' the jerk, enough to skirt entrapment, they took a whole 25 minutes to determine the call was being routed through several locations, but was originating from Shemya AFB - down on the Aleutian Islands off the coast of Alaska.

NEXT PROBLEM was in trying to contact Security Police there. They all happened to be at a meeting away from their headquarters, and the man they reached could not leave to investigate.

Within 5 minutes, though, they determined the precise military phone from which the dude was calling, but he was gone when they reached the location.

Home Free? Nope - it was a different Command, and they would not allow our Security to go there to assist with the investigation!!

They conversation had ended with his suggesting we might meet, and I gave a vague response as if I were considering it, suggesting he call me the next day.
They continued the telephone tap for several days, and sure enough, there was a call where the caller did not speak, and then hung up!
A bit shaken, thinking he could get a hop to Eielson and actually be on base - had said "he had seen me!" - I was instructed to play along and set up a meeting, and a Security Police Officer would don a parka and 'meet him,' but there was some apprehension he might act outside of The Plan.
There had been, by the way, a rash of these calls to women on Eielson Base, and they were anxious to catch the one harrassing us.

This occurred in March of 1966, and we were transferred to Myrtle Beach AFB, SC, my husband then having spinal surgery (in Charleston) and on light duty in November 1966.
Processing into the base a man coming from Shemya, he mentioned my Incident, and the person supplied the outcome.

In the last 5 minutes, Eielson Communications had recorded my conversation - my voice and The Perp's.
He was in Communications there, sent at the time of the incident to remove the telephone - one set of footprints in the snow going in - one set coming out - feeling he was perfectly 'safe.'
Poor guy did not know he was messing with a Marine..:))

His pleading was 'Not Guilty' - until they played the tape in court with his voice!!
He was sentenced to forfeiture of pay and allowances, sent to Ft. Leavenworth for confinement for five years - and then to be Dishonorably Discharged.

Of course I sweated a lot after five years, wondering if he might try to track me to seek revenge!
Didn't happen, though, and LadyX remained safe.

martin_fierro - you did not know this story when you created this graphic for me:

He came to know, though - - -

Fascinating story!

I used to pull inspections at Shemya from Elmendorf, and did some at Eilson also.

I don't know what it is about up there, but the dark side seems to come out of people more there than anywhere I've seen (except maybe Californica).

Great job, BTW on catching the perv.

That was in 1966 - imagine how much more sophisticated our comm tracking is now!

Chaplain Yee had been under surveillence since the day he was discharged from the Army the first time (as a missle battery commander) - all during his "stay" in Syria - all during his reentering the Army (as an Islamic "Chaplain" - I despise those two words in the same sentence) - all the way to aiding and abetting enemies of our nation (who are more than willing to kill as many of our troops as possible).

FRegards!

[SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING, my hand got stupid!]

OH boy .... LOL....I love this one. Can I borrow it sometime when I've missed a lot in my spell-check? I know there are days when my brain must get lost in a fog while I am driving down the road of sanity. And I SWEAR, my hands do not type what my brain said. Sometimes I think I must be doing some psyhic writing....LOL

Does Leavenworth have gas or electric death apperatus?

"All death sentences will be carried out by lethal injection at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB)."

I was sweating bullets, trying to answer with enough to keep him interested, but acting 'dumb enough' to lull him into a false sense of security!

Had my husband not been home and able to convince Communications to intervene - or if it had taken them more than 30 minutes to nail the location, all would have been lost, and he would have struck again and again....

Freedom Is Not Free

It's the soldier not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.

It's the soldier not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.

It's the soldier not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.

It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag!!!

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

It's no surprise - they are REQUIRED TO DO THIS BY THEIR FAITH - ISLAM.

Thanks for the ping!

Anybody heard anything more about this traitor?

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. — A sergeant accused of killing a fellow serviceman by throwing grenades into tents at a military command center in Kuwait told his mother he feared persecution because he is a Muslim and reportedly had recently been reprimanded for insubordination.

Sgt. Asan Akbar of the 101st Airborne Division's 326th Engineer Battalion was in custody, said George Heath, a civilian spokesman at Fort Campbell. Heath said Akbar had not been charged with a crime but was the only person being questioned in the attack that also wounded 15 other soldiers Sunday, three seriously.

i really find it hard to believe that any graduate would commit treason. Its just inconceivable

Inconceivable because you're looking at him through your prism and experience.

You haven't been enchanted and indoctrinated by the jihad as this man has.

He has a greater loyalty.
