Here's my working theory on why Hurricane Isabel was a Democrat

My Isabel war story:

Saturday I was riding the Capitol Crescent Trail (Bethesda end clear, DC end disaster). Stopped at Fletcher's for water, and was asked by Pacifica Radio if I would like to do an interview. Having been to many freeps, and having been portrayed very negatively by Pacifica in the past, I was more than ready to answer their questions this time.

The hippie reporter asked me how Isabel had affected me. My witty reply was that I had been on my way to a "Re-Elect President Bush" rally on the mall, but that we'd had to postpone it a day.

Utter, complete shock on the hippie's face. That was it. End of interview!

Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. My hurricane story is I spent a few days watching it on the radar, releived that it was going to miss this part of the country. And really, the area that was hit was fortunuate that the storm had weakened to a category 2 hurricane by the time it came ashore. Could have been much worse.
