The Pentagon is obviously running a sting.

I heard someone on one of the news channels say as much last week when the Yee thing broke. He was being watched from day one.

I propose that the only chaplains allowed at Gitmo should be Evangelical pastors or Orthodox rabbis.

A couple of Sadhus would make some turbans too tight for comfort.

Is he Muslim?

You can take it to the bank that both the Navy guy and the Air Force guy are Muslims.

And you can take it to the bank that al Qaeda is also recruiting in our prisons.

Anybody heard anything more about this traitor?

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. — A sergeant accused of killing a fellow serviceman by throwing grenades into tents at a military command center in Kuwait told his mother he feared persecution because he is a Muslim and reportedly had recently been reprimanded for insubordination.

Sgt. Asan Akbar of the 101st Airborne Division's 326th Engineer Battalion was in custody, said George Heath, a civilian spokesman at Fort Campbell. Heath said Akbar had not been charged with a crime but was the only person being questioned in the attack that also wounded 15 other soldiers Sunday, three seriously.

Looks like there should be some more background checks against those military personnel who follow the crescent moon.

Air Force member being investigated at terror war detainee camp

Tuesday, September 23, 2003

(09-23) 10:04 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --

A member of the Air Force at the U.S. military's prison for suspected terrorists in Cuba is under investigation for possible misuse of classified information, a Pentagon official said Tuesday.

The official would not say whether the investigation of the Air Force member was linked to the arrest earlier this month of the Muslim Army chaplain at the prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The official said the military would have a formal statement on the matter later Tuesday.

About 660 suspected al-Qaida or Taliban members are imprisoned at the U.S. Navy base. American officials are interrogating them for information on the terrorist network.

The Muslim military chaplain who ministered to the inmates at the camp, Army Capt. Yousef Yee, was arrested Sept. 10 in Jacksonville, Fla., after getting off a flight from Guantanamo Bay.

A senior law enforcement official said authorities confiscated classified documents Yee was carrying.

Yee, 35, is being held at a Navy brig in Charleston, S.C.

What they "need" to do and what they will do are two entirely different things. All Muslims need to be removed from front line active military service until further notice. Complete background checks, not the usual rubber stamp junk, need to be done. But that would be politically insennnnnnnnnnnnnnsitive, and we can't have a non-PC military now can we? What we have now, with Muslims in front line military service, would be like having members of the SS in the military in 1943. We have become a nation of wimps and wusses and unfortunately our boys are going to pay the price of political correctness. And our civilian population will probably pay an even greater price.
