Hillary's 'Worst Nightmare': Judicial Watch's Klayman Runs for the Senate

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Larry Klayman, chairman of the anti-corruption watchdog organization Judicial Watch, has joined the race for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat held by White House wannabe Bob Graham.

"I will be the conservative antidote for Hillary Clinton," he said. "I will be her worst nightmare."

His campaign will focus on security, corruption and government waste, he said in advance of his formal announcement, scheduled for today in Tampa.

"We have an urgent need here because we have 1,800 miles of coastline. And we are very high on the target list of terrorists," said Klayman, a Miamian.

Today's Orlando Sentinel, like other members of the media establishment, describes Judicial Watch as "conservative" even though the organization has targeted the Bush administration as well as the Clintons.

Other Republicans seeking the nomination, now that U.S. Rep. Mark Foley has left the race, include state House Speaker Johnnie Byrd, former U.S. Rep. Bill McCollum, state Sen. Daniel Webster and U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon.

Democrats going after Graham's seat, which he hasn't yet abandoned, are former state Education Commissioner Betty Castor, Miami-Dade Mayor Alex Penelas, and U.S. Reps. Allen Boyd, Peter Deutsch and Alcee Hastings.

'Other Endeavors'

Klayman has resigned as chairman and general counsel of Judicial Watch "to pursue other endeavors," the organization announced today.

"Larry conceived, founded and helped build Judicial Watch to the organization it is today, and we will miss his day to day involvement," said Tom Fitton, president. "Judicial Watch now has a very strong presence and has become the leading nonpartisan, public interest watchdog seeking to promote and ensure ethics in government, and Larry leaves us well positioned to continue our important work."

Naw! Her worst nightmare is in the mirror.

Her worst nightmare is standing at the podium in an arena rented to announce her candidacy for dog catcher and she's alone.

It's said that he once sued his own mother in a dispute over property.)

I don't know the exact details of the suit, but if memory serves me right he sued his own mother to protect her. I believe she was about to be "taken" and he stepped in to prevent it from happening.

I could be wholly wrong on this. I hope someone who knows exactly what the deal is will post to us on it.

I still think that he actually was working for the Clintons. He used lawsuits and the discovery process to get information on what the other side knew, so that they knew how to counter both in the press and media and in their actions.

I have no use for him. I bet you will find that he has been writing organizations like Conde Nast and alerting them to copyright infringements.

I sure enjoyed the night when Larry told Klintoon bootlick Stan Gildenhorn on national TV to get a new rug.
Totally excellent.

Boy, that sure would stink if JW lost their non profit status because they are backing politicians. Maybe now we know why he never went after Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. Can't condemn what you yourself are guilty of.

WHY IS THIS NOT ALL IN CAPS LIKE MOST OTHER JUDICIAL WATCH THREADS?

My gosh, have you ever read a bigger pile of crap than the crapola on his website? How blatantly two-faced can a person be? Where are his articles about where he sued Cheney and went after Bush? Now all of a sudden he is some hero for leading the charge against anti-terrorism? Sheese! He fought to tie the hands that were at war against it!! Larry, leave America already! Arnold's uncle in law would be a better choice! Larry is another Bob Graham!

Please... tell us an authentic "skeleton" that Loser Larry has dug up. You're not referring to the Dick Cheney/Halliburton lawsuit, are you? That's been thrown out of court because Larry only wanted the publicity of filing the suit. He never followed up with any discovery. LOL!! What a Klown Klayman is!!
