Nope. Arnold won on style, Tom won on substance.

You should put "Vanity" somewhere in the headline. Nothing wrong (unofficially) with posting the occasional vanity post; just label it as such in the headline. Otherwise, FReepers take it that some published article out there carries that headline, and that you're just reprinting it here.

So, how much money are you willing to bet that Mcclintock wins? Anyone?
To: TomasUSMC
I'm not that good with faces, but all this time I've been confusing Dean and McClintock.
I hope Bustamante wins. It will serve California right for all the cr*p they've dumped onthe other states.

Number one, thank you for your service to our country.
Number two isn't it wonderful that we live in a country that people can express their different perspectives of a political event?
The big loser tonight was Gray Davis (as well it should be) . . . talk about everyone agreeing the State is in utter failure. Next, I would say that if Cruz "Bustamove" wanted to rise above the frey, all he accomplished was being a passive "church sitter" that mumbles agreements with the one giving the speech.
Ariana came across as an arrogent imbecile . . . I couldn't figure out what her beef was with Bush and quite frankly Auhnold was very astute to point out that she belongs in New Hampshire (or perhaps one of the Planets that Davis says we all came from).
Camejo wants to "sock it to the rich" and remind us of Enron. Great, that'll get a lot of traction.
Finally, Auhnold and Tom. Want to know who won? Watch what happens with endorsements in the next few days . . . that's your benchmark. We can rah-rah all night but when Simon, Uberroth and important Calif. Republican's give their endorsments in the next few days (and they WILL!), then we'll know. Otherwise, I don't see Tom cutting into Auhnolds poll numbers or vice versa. IMHO.

I think arnold gets it...more democrats will be willing to vote for him...there aren't that many reopublicans to out number the democrats. More independants will be willing to vote for arnold. He sounded likle he knew what he was talking about and didn't sound silly.

McClintock certainly did a superb job.........but to imply that the drooling socialist from the Green Party took second.................................good God in Heaven.

Brave vanity post. Substantive as well.
Arnold's supporters won't like it.
To: TomasUSMC
I can tell you who didn't win.... Arianna Huffington. What a skanky troll.
Oh, and BustaMEChA, who sat there like a speed bump. His presence was confirmation of his status as a loser.

McClintock is great but he can't even win a poll on FR. So how do you think he'll do in Commiefornia?
To: TomasUSMC
Debate Terminates Arnold - Title
Tom wins Recall Debate. - Openning sentence.
Why not make the title 'Tom wins Recall Debate'?
You are never going to win if you have to invoke the other guys name to gain some interest.
Or is this just flame bait?
I don't live in Cali so I have no influence on the outcome.

Freaky eyes! Does the man never blink? He's on Hannity and Colmes now and it doesn't sound like he understands that he or Arnold must drop out to prevent a split in R votes. He's not dropping out and doesn't believe any poll showing him behind anyone. I've never listened to him, but this interview doesn't impress me one bit.
To: TomasUSMC
Arnold crushed all, states and nations will line up to do business with CA after Arnold wins, McClintock will work with Governor Arnold after the election. You are insane to think McClintock will not withdraw; he could have burried Arnold tonight but he held back.... why do you think he held back??? Why??? Why??? Because he is in it to confuse the Democrats and the foolish, as well as secure a Senate seat. DUH, you are as dumn as Tucker on CNN.

Camejo's rant is a common one among leftists. Believe it: The rich pay more in taxes. Way more. The top 5% pays more than half of all income taxes in California.
Camejo's dishonest rhetoric lumps Social Security retirement fund contributions and Medicare insurance payments and unemployment insurance payments into "taxes"--even though they are benefits tied to the payor.
Again, it's a common Leftist trick, and fundamentally dishonest.

Both Republicans did us proud. Look at what the other side offered up...a screaming harpie and a harpooned whale.

You're wrong. Take a look at the post debate poll on
http://billoreilly.com. Its a cakewalk if you can believe it. Both Republicans acquitted themselves admirably tonight. Its the socialists who looked and acted like born losers. At least that's the general consensus - Arnold will probably win the election in October and the other thing is even the Lefties never bothered to defend Gray Davis. The game's over.
