Huffington and Schwarzenegger exchange jabs in debate

Sacramento, California-AP -- Movie tough-guy Arnold Schwarzenegger and self-described crusading columnist Arianna Huffington went toe-to-toe in last night's candidate debate for California governor.

When Huffington took a shot at the Bush administration, Schwarzenegger fired back, "If you want to campaign against Bush, go to New Hampshire."

Huffington took a jab at Schwarzenegger, accusing him of mistreating women when he began to cut her off. In response, Schwarzenegger offered her "a perfect part" in Terminator Four.

The moderator chastised Schwarzenegger for the comment, but the audience laughed.

Huffington says the comment was an offensive reference to a scene from "Terminator Three," in which Schwarzenegger's character stuffs a female robot's head into a toilet.

The moderator chastised Schwarzenegger for the comment...

I don't recall that. But I was laughing so hard at the time maybe I missed it.

But I DO recall the moderator stopping the debate because of Huffington's personal attack, and alloting Arnold time to respond to the "mistreating women" comment.

You could hear why her hubby went gay, and her kids left her!

I wish Arnold would have fired back "At least I haven't turned my spouse gay!"

I only clicked throuh it once. But, I was amazed at terrible and old Huffie looked. It may have been the lighting, but that turkey neck skin of hers would drive any man to turn fairy.

The writer of the article is a dang liar and/or didn't watch the debate. I watched it last night and Arianna was the one chastised for insulting Arnold. The moderator then gave Arnold a chance to rebut her comment. Arnold zinged the witch and moved on. The audience booed Arianna NOT Arnold. I saw. I heard. I have it all on tape.

The lying lefty spin has begun. (Helped by Arianna who was crying and pouting over the incident to Greta Van Sustern after the debate.) Arianna thinks movies are real and not make believe. The movie character whose head was put in the toilet by the Terminator was an evil female robot.

If anyone put Arianna's head in a toilet, it would melt...

I remember Arianna when she was a right winger. Basically, I think she is an oppertunist. I loved it when Arnold called her out for waithing in her car for and hour and a half to get a photo op with him. I agree with Fred Barnes, she should have not been in the debate with 1% of the vote. Mary Carey in a bikini would have been a better choice.

I caught a few exchanges between the two while flipping channels and was reminded of a Punch and Judy skit. The only difference was that Punch and Judy were easier to understand.

What would be *really* entertaining would be a debate between Arriana and Mary Carey. MEOW

Last night the Seattle NBC affiliate King 5 spent a few minutes on the debate. Specifically on the jabs between the bimbo and the machine. The problem is they showed the clips out of order and that plus the anchors' commentary made it look like Arnie was the aggressor and that Arianna was the poor little victim left to defend herself against him. It was pretty disgusting.

Regardless, Arnie did himself no favors stooping to her level and I wished he hadn't spent so much time jabbing back. I did love the hummer through the loophole comment though.
