That is sorta what I have been getting at with "these" eyewitnesses. I remember when it was first explained that the story told by each of these eyewitnesses had Laci doing an "impossible" walk. This thing with McKenzie is a WOW-er!!

Snott also flatly "refused" to take a LD administered by Law Enforcement. That was a point that really stuck with me because that was at the very beginning and Marc Klass and John Walsh were both talking about how they "asked to take the polygraph test" even BEFORE it was requested of them. They understood that the Police needed to eliminate them and then they could get on with other suspects. Do any of you remember Marc Klass saying on LKL that Peterson was a low down scumbag!! LOL Larry King looked shell shocked and kinda brushed over that. Then on a future program, John Walsh said to Larry King, quote: "He's Dirty". He explained the rigamarole that Scott put Walsh through when he was doing a program on Laci's disappearance. He said when it came right down to it, Scott didn't even have the guts to meet him face to face.

Dev, Courts will allow Polygraph test results into evidence IF BOTH sides stipulate to it. But since McAllister advised Scott not to take one, that settles that. Geragos would have most definitely advised him against it too. Somehow, the results always leak out. Like with Simpson, he took one and it wasn't long until we heard that he scored off the charts Deceptive!!

Anse, it was the 11th of Dec., or 3 weeks after Amber started dating SP, according to LKL. I sent you a freepmail with references to the thread, etc.

That's correct, CO, but it's just not gonna happen! No counsel in his right mind would stipulate to such a thing, unless they made their agreement BEFORE the polygraph was taken, and in that case they'd have to agree on the examiner, his credentials, the other conditions of testing, yada yada yada.

And obviously that would be a dumb move, since one side is gonna be left crying when the test is over! If Geragos did something like that, then that would give Scott a good issue to later claim ineffective assistance of counsel, if Scott were convicted.

Here, of course, we're talking about a hypothetical polygraph which never took place. Even in the OJ case, Ito, while he did let a witness testify to DISCUSSIONS he had with OJ about taking a polygraph, later decided to exclude that evidence, and instructed the jury to disregard it.

I don't see the judge allowing any mention of a polygraph--hypothetical or not--in front of Scott's jury!

Yes, and Sandylapper has provided a refresher as to when we think Amber hired or begged the favor from this mystery P.I. whom she knew. WHO is he? Even if it's not King, WHAT can he tell us about Scott's habits during December?? I'm sure it would be very interesting!!

If only Laci had hired a private investigator... perhaps suspecting infidelity, and deciding to get a divorce, and wanting some evidence.... boy oh boy, that would give us a P.I. who had started finding stuff out even earlier!! What a bombshell witness that person would be!

LOL, another defense witness with the times wrong. But we have to be careful reading that article! I just re-read it. What it says is, McKenzie was found running loose about an hour (actually closer to an hour and a half, if I am calculating correctly) before Diane Jackson supposedly saw these eeevil men standing around the "tan van".

Here's the article posted by Maggie May, again:

From post #450, by Maggie May.

But information from the wiretaps appears to have been of limited value to prosecutors. According to court documents, the district attorney's office had asked a judge to cut off the first wiretap early, saying "further progress in the investigation would not be gained through additional interception." State law allows a wiretap to run for up to 30 days, but a judge can grant an extension. Court documents show the first wiretap was approved on Jan. 10 and ran to Feb. 4, the day a car dealer gave Laci Peterson's Land Rover to her family. Scott Peterson had traded the vehicle in toward the purchase of the Dodge truck.

I don't get it. On Feb. 1, Amber talked to King under wiretap. That had to be BIG, especially if LE didn't know she was going to do it. Yet, they were ready to pull the plug because the intercepts were of such limited value to prosecutors.

I know what your getting at with Marc Klass. I have heard that he left his wife etc. but in the case of his daughter, he was certainly willing to have himself eliminated as a suspect so that LE could get on with the investigation. Another thing with Klass is he left his wife but he didn't murder her.

Exactly. That's how John Walsh was too. He said he and his wife were so frantic. He said he was on the Police Departments doorstep all the time and kept phoning THEM to see if they found anything. Very different indeed.
