Bill Simon, former GOP gubernatorial candidate, announced today his endorsement of Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor in this Octobers recall election.
It's time for all Republicans to unite behind Arnold, said Simon. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the right man to be governor of California.
Simon also emphasized Schwarzeneggers fiscal conservativism when he announced his endorsement at a town hall hosted by Sean Hannity, a FOX News Channel Host and radio personality.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has laid out a set of broad principles, along with a specific set of policies that address our most urgent challenges and will put our great state back on the road to prosperity, said Simon. I have met with Arnold on a number of occasions, and he has demonstrated to me a clear and practical understanding of the issues. He has outlined a plan of action. He has made a compelling case for his candidacy. Indeed, he has summarized many of these principles and policies in a thoughtful and compelling editorial in yesterdays Wall Street Journal.
Simons endorsement comes the day after Schwarzeneggers strong debate performance in Sacramento. Schwarzenegger welcomed Simons support in the race.
Bill has strong convictions and a passion for ideas that will benefit California and its people, said Schwarzenegger. I hope Bills support will serve to unify Republicans and other Californians who are eager to join the movement to give California back its future.

Republicans who quote the LA Times have no business calling anyone a RINO...
I don't remember who said that, but it is most apt ;-)

Simon was great when he called Hannity's show and endorsed Arnold and then he was on Roger Hedgecock's show in San Diego and talked about Arnold some more and how he could bring people together to make California better!

On H&C just now, Chuck Norris (who is also Republican) also endorsed Arnold, said he is a great leader and will make a great governor of CA.
Chuck Norris also contributed for the fund to have that Marine keep his house, who was being foreclosed upon, because he was flying the US Flag.
Chuck Norris is A-OK!

Anybody who posts on FreeRepublic who still endorses McClintock doesn't belong here, in my opinion. They are acting like Rats and belong with the rest of the whiny crybabies on DU.

(I wonder if Tom McClintock will have to "make a reservation" to pay back that money?)

I once saw a baby rhino in Africa with its mama. It was cute.

I thought Simon called in to Hannity, too, but he actually showed in person to endorse Arnold. I saw a replay of it on Hannity and Colmes :-)

I didn't know that about Chuck Norris... that's excellent! It's interesting that all the greatest, most caring people are Republicans :-)

Simon is my idea of a good Republican. Like Issa, he puts the people in "our" party FIRST, not personal ambition.

The attacks on Arnold here sometimes mimic word for word the attacks on him over at DU... now THAT is scary ;-)

The end maybe drawing nigh for McClintock and he may not know it or ever know it...... Things are beginning to move towards Schwarzenegger's campaign and I don't think McClintock has much hope of slowing it down....
And I think Bill Jones also endorsed Schwarzenegger sometime today......
