BTW, who will be Lt. Gov if either Arnold or Tom win? Wouldn't it be better for Tom to stay where he is since he IS a conservative mover and shaker already ensconced?

Lt Governor Cruz Bustamante will remain in office until 2006. He was just re-elected into office last November. If he happens to win (ACK!), he will be able to choose his own successor to serve the remainder of his term. The Lt. Governor has virtually no powers of office and replaces the governor if he is unable to serve out his term. In the case of Cruz, he's been pretty much excluded from the Davis administration after a flak between the two a few years ago.

As to Tom, since he broke ranks and voted against the last budget (in my mind, it was a Republican trap to nail the Democrats), as well as his actions in this election, I doubt he'll be much of anything (even an elected offical) after too much longer.

Newsday and San Jose Mercury News also have the same McClinton headline running. Interestingly enough, there's a Chronwatch article from September 25th that appears to have taken the bows as being the first 'news organization' to make the goof.

So you don't think McClintock will be around much longer. I'll bet he lasts longer than Arnold. Win or lose now, Arnold is gone after 2006. He is an incompetent oaf who can't even answer a question.

Pikers. There's a FR article dated 7/10 containing a "MCCLINTON" keyword:

Yes, of course he's incompetent. After all, he's only worth a lot of money, whereas thirty years ago he had virtually nothing. Remember Planet Hollywood! </sarcasm>

I thought I heard him answer quite a few questions straight away. Of course, there is such a thing as an incompetent oaf who can't understand a straight answer..... One might call it the Streisand Syndrome. Any symptoms you can't explain? Maybe you hear crooked after too much Clinton.

LOL!!! Well you see both the NY Times and the LA Times view McClinton as their last great hope against the "evil Republicans". Much like their real hero Clinton.
