Schwarzenegger captures 40% of the vote in the USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll.
One week before the vote to recall the two-term Democrat, 63% of probable voters say they'll vote to remove Davis from office. Three-quarters of the electorate is unhappy with his job performance, an approval rating that has been stagnant for months.

I know but you know once you have good news.... why hold it back? I can only imagine the depth of despair and gloom over at DU although I haven't checked.

Good reply.
Why don't you have a look at DU? Plug your ears against profanity, and it might be interesting.

Yes, it has, but this article contained some information I hadn't seen in the other posts, that's why I posted it in the Extended News section.

I had no condemnation, just was looking for a reason. Between you and Goldstategop, I got my answers.

Check this out from DU poster Democat. These people live in their own dream world:
Even with the extreme media bias favoring Arnold, there is no way Cruz should be at 25% in California.
If Cruz loses this bad, his political career may be over.
He doesn't seem to have connected with people at all. His debate performance was, by almost all accounts, a failure.
What we needed in the race was someone who could get people excited, someone the opposite of Davis, What we ended up getting with Cruz, was someone who couldn't get people excited at all.
I supported having a Democrat jump into the race, but it looks like we should have picked a Democratic celebrity who could compete with Arnold, rather than a boring politician who can actually govern.
The most important factor here, is still the almost universal media bias favoring Arnold and bashing Davis.
The right wing media bias we've seen in California is a preview of the bias we are going to see in 2004, and it isn't a good sign for Democrats.
As you can see the DUers know its over. And they're blaming their own miserable performance on a "right wing" media! Yeah right. They must be from another planet for the cause of the Democrats' failure to win isn't their candidates or public relations. You would think they would have it all figured out by now.

It was fantastic, onyx. The event was at the Monterey Jet Center. I got there early - not too big of a crowd, and then people just kept on arriving and pouring in. The place was PACKED! We could hear his ject arrive and the excitement mounted. There was so much positive electricity in the air and a renewed hope and excitement that change is possible. He was gracious, energetic, optimistic and personable. I got a nice place at the front of the stage where he walked in and some great pix! His "Let's bring California back" resounds strongly here. He spent quite a bit of time shaking hands and thanking people. He was humble - said he needed everyone's help - and boy, judging from that group - HE HAS IT!
Cheers! CC :)
P.S. Yes - he looks even better in person.... ;)

Right wing media bias??? That's patently absurd. Until the Democrats can be honest with themselves about the reasons for their failures, they may never reacquire power.
Suits me fine.
