Fishing expedition--yes, perhaps just as good a reason for the flap as getting rid of Rove. Another reason was mentioned on one of the threads about al-Amoudi--burying those stories on the back pages, so as not to out the 'rats connections with terrorists. Could be all of the above.

I thought I would vomit when I saw that. Matthews said it at least 3 ot 4 times and I think Gill. was just trying to get him to be quiet so he could finish his thought. This question of worse than Whitewater was a democrat talking point and repeated by others and poor Ed fell right into the trap. I bet Matthews wins some grand prize from the DNC for getting that sound bite.

Ed Gillespie needs to be sacked. He can't think on his feet and falls into every dem/media trap. If he's the best the Repubs can do, Bush will lose next year's election.

Ditto! Instead of standing firmly against the libs tide of lies he cowers and seeks only to 'minimalize' any (perceived) damage.

>>>>>Tenent needs to go and the CIA given a good housecleaning<<<<

CIA seems to be like Cadillac and other great American products of the yesteryear. Presitge badge but unreliable on the road. Perhaps, just like other presige brands, CIA has to be 'outsourced' to Russia or Israel.

For example, when "John David Neighbor",The first secretary of US Embassy was arrested in Belgrade (caught on tape in the act of espionage) it was easily established that he used an alias. His real name was Jim Barkas, Princeton '68 Serious blunder.

CIA failed to provide a legend for "John David Neighbor". And the practice seems to be widespread. Several months later other "US diplomats" were spotted, this time in Russia

Combing US embassy staff names with any good search engine can easily detect those who use aliases.

Housecleaning should start from there because it puts US personnel at peril and US interests at risk.

If you are going to accuse Rove of something why don't you come out and say it and then back it up with data. Generalizations make your story sound foolish.

The key unnamed figure in this story is CIA Director George Tenent, a Clinton Appointee.

Me too. I think Ed's stock with the White House fell sharply after that appearance.

Yes, the presstitutes are "worried" about our national security, with one of their leftist senators, "schumer" putting together a bill to protect anyone with a security clearance spilling secret, top secret and upward information that has to do with our national security. He wants them to tell ALL without fear of jail time. Remember when livingston and his cohort removed raw FBI files, nothing was done to those two, they were said to be "young" inexperienced workers. Well one of the fellows was in his 40s and had worked for the government, I've forgotten his name. They were forgiven!!!!!! Nothing was done to them. These presstitutes are among the lowest lives I've had the misfortune to hear. They care nothing about our national security, they care only that their makeup and hair look good on tv. They say they check their sources......hmmmmmmmmm I doubt it, they just repeat one another.

We trust that Mr. Bush and Republicans on Capitol Hill understand that if they throw Mr. Rove over the side, the blood in the water will really be theirs.

Bingo!
